It was weissfeld, not ledermen, but I totally agree with you. The hbo staff is unbelievably biased towards soviet fighters. Weissfeld is a complete moron and had a laughable card. I'm ok with a grad 115 win or a draw. Velez landed great body shots that are totally discounted by most people in here and the hbo staff. It's no big crime anyway, neither guy is world class, it won't affect their career.

Gradovich got robbed last night, those scores were ridiculous, but in boxing you never know. Nothing shocks me anymore to be honest.

what was your point? Body shots only counted for Canelo because he had the crowd in his favor? Favoritism even though the fights were completely different in every single way imaginable?

Ill have to the above comments. I personally had the fight a draw as early as the 10th round. But I could have gone with Velez winning.

The Russian was trying to takle and bumb rushing which is no boxing by the way. Its that all tha Garcia can teach?

That was complete BS when the HBO cast thought Velez outclassed Gradovich in the first four rounds. It's getting annoying listening to Max and Lampley. All they do is kiss ass to the apple card so much that it makes it seem as if they wanna suck the fighter's ****.

Velez received a gift since the Russian boxer should have been the real victor. Two judges got it wrong while only one got the correct winner (although I think the difference was only 4 points and not 117-111). Fortunately Grado was able to keep his title in all fairness although he was deprived/robbed from a deserved victory.

I thought Velez did very well to start but he tired out. He did land some hellacious body shots though and I did notice that the HBO crew was ALL over Gradovich's sack like the guy could do no wrong. Velez would land some nice shots and it seemed like the only one to really comment on it was Jones...I think I remember one time where Lampley said nice body shot but that was about it.

By the end, I thought Gradovich was at least two rounds ahead, probably three. I've seen worse decisions clearly, but the Mexican Russian should have gotten the nod.

I had the fight pretty close.

Ofc....most people judging a fight won't place the emphasis on body work. However Velez landed what appeared to be the most telling blows, downstairs.

Gradovich did solid work upstairs, but I just don't see eye to eye with some of you calling it a "robbery".

At best I would have given the nod to Gradovic by a point or two....but I didn't sit there and score the fight on paper.

Velez gave a good account of himself, but that was a pretty bad decision, imo.
