Del Boy needs to hang them up, Haye's thunderbolt left hook has ruined him. He's shot and shouldn't be taking beatings from guys that size.
You could say that for these dozens of old shot journeymen fighters like Skelton...Sprott etc...Chisora is shot in terms of being competitive against the top contenders but Joshua is not at that level just yet. At this point in time he could fight Chisora to truly establish himself v a proven guy. Delboy is limited, but proven...and still tough. And I am sure Hearn will pay him handsomely...if he gets blown out he can retire, and we will know more about AJ.

    Win-win for all parties.

I do say that about them, they shouldn't even be sanctioned to fight. Joshua just destroyed Sprott in about 55 seconds, it's unnecessary punishment for shot fighters.

The thing with Chisora...he's not getting hit and hurt with every shot, it's not like he's lost all his punch resistance, but I think his heart isn't quite in it as it was before. This Fury fight has extenuated his weaknesses...which is beating tall guys with long reaches and jabs...and damn I've seen AJ's reach is about 83 or 84 inches...that is scary, it's like Lennox's, only an inch shorter than Fury's.

I don't think this is a death sentence for Chisora, I really don't...AJ, although very promising, has only beaten bums and old guys so far...and he isn't even knocking them cold, it's more accumulation.

I see where people are coming from in terms of looking for Dereck's long term health, but still I could see this being a decent fight with no long term consequences.

Chisora is a cool dude, he's just one of those guys that's impossible to hate but I don't want to see him back in the ring any point soon. He needs to take a long rest before he takes any fights where he COULD suffer any more punishment. If he can't come back strong and looks as shot as he did tonight, he needs to hang em up.

He should give AJ some rounds and would be a good step up for the big man. And if Chisora gets blown out early he can just retire.

I wouldn't mind seeing this...what about you guys?
It would be a big stepup for AJ but he would still destroy Chisora. AJ is the goods. I'm completely buying in.

Ever since chisora got in better shape he has regressed. When he was in the 250s with bulk he seemed to be able to push bigger guys around. He's never had hand speed & he can go 12 rounds. I have always said since he dropped the weight that it would do him no good because of his lack of speed. He could absorb punches better. He's always been a fringe contender but doesn't have the skillset to beat an elite fighter. AJ would be good but i'd rather see chisora fight arreola. I like guys showing up in good shape on fight night but del-boy was better when he was in the 250s in my opinion.

Not a good match-up. I want AJ to go rounds, and I'm not sure if Chisora will take him past 6.

Interesting, you might be onto something...but I just think Chisora's lack of fundamental skills mean he will never beat any decent/good big man let alone great. He will, or used to be able to, give tough fights by being relentless and a come-forward fighter, but he seems to have lost his hunger.

Well, even up to round 6 would be a nice change for AJ! And actually I think Chisora is shot in many ways, but his toughness is in tact. He is not easy to knock out by any means...and he will at least come forward and be more of a live dog and capable of perhaps hurting AJ if he lands.

I read now that apparently Frank Warren was the one that decided to pull out DelBoy in the Fury fight...

Would be a walk over for AJ, Only point in having Chisora is to add a name to the resume, but realistically Chisora is done, and it would be a pointless match.
