Manny hasn't been the same blood and guts warrior since Margarito

I actually re watched that fight last night, and he looked noticeably past prime in that fight. I think the fact that there were 2 past prime fighters in there allowed Manny to zip around him.It was the last fight that Pacquaio looked like a wizard gliding around the ring in and out while throwing non stop punches. You can blame it on cramps but he just isn't the same fighter. He's worn and his stamina has faded, can't blame the guy he was a fireball for a decade.
I will give him credit, his 4th fight against Marquez he brought it back and was looking amazing until the knockout. That was the best I had seen Pacquiao in a long time.
Fast forward to Algieri and he gained some of that old pacman stuff. Also had to do with being lighter though.Comment

Its pretty amazing that he's not shot by now. The guys been hit over the head how many times now? And for how long? Good God he's durable.pac has lost stamina with age obviously.
and maybe a little on the reflexes, accuracy.
pac power came from a sniper rifle not a bazooka.
the little loss of reflex/accuracy makes him lose his kd/hurt ability.
stamina explains less relentlessness.
he's 36 fellas, started fighting 1995 and his career has been filled with wars. it's amazing he's not completely shot tbh.Comment

some fighters get shot after 1 war. pac has had so many wars.
it was smart to take a year off after jmm ko. helped him recover.Comment

Interestingly enough, the Manny movie that was leaked earlier today on YouTube talks about the toll that fight took on Pacquiao.Last edited by sanluisjerzy; 11-30-2014, 10:42 AM.Comment

That's because his opponents back then came to fight.
DLH, Hatton, Cotto, Margo all came forward bringing the fight to Pacquiao.
Bradley, Marquez, Mosley, Algieri all boxed (or ran) on the backfoot while Rios and Clottey just covered up.Comment
