Because most users here are females and judge FIGHTERS based on things that have nothing to do with what they do in the ring. Basing your fighters on "how they make me feel" instead of "what they do in the ring" is a female trait.

This is business. In all movies/books/tv series/sports you need a good humble hero and a bad villain *******. Floyd used to be a good guy back in the time, he was really respectful with the interviewer and everybody. Since the Gatti fight he changed to play the villain and became a superstar. After that I think he stopped playing the villain and actually became one.

Oh yea and a straight forward answer to the OP. Floyd accepted and brought forth his dark side "alter ego" like 8-10 years ago saying that boxing is entertainment and he know's what the fans want. And what they want is conflicting ideologies or personalities and styles. Most guys back then and this day in age don't have the ppv numbers and the b@lls to look the boxing media in the face and say **** you. Which is basically made Floyd much more infatuating and entertaining. An unfiltered and unbiased boxing personality. That's what the die hard fans always want. And now we see the same stale fake cheesey ego Floyd has put on through the years, but eerily it seems that he has become one with it. Now all we hear from Floyd is biased, filtered jargon that we now understand as talking points from Al Haymon. These talking points are always have an out for questions regarding Pacquiao. It may have started as just an "act" but Floyd has fully embraced it, he has literally become the "act" and is taking it to whole new levels. Of course he's going to try and save face by continuing to say "it's all just an act"(really? beating your wife in front of your kids and going to jail for it was just an act?), but the thing is.. HE SUCKS AT HIDING HIS TRUE PERSONA. HIS ARROGANCE OOZES THROUGH HIS PORES. HIS AURA IS THAT OF A SPOILED BRAT. The Iron Sheik may have been portrayed as what he was, but the sane person didn't use that as grounds to threaten the man's character or trash the man behind the character as some Iranian/Soviet sympathizer; they took the character for what it was, enjoyed the spectacle, and didn't use the character to disparage the man.

What makes "Money" Mayweather any different? Because Floyd Mayweather Jr, the man, is different from "Money" Mayweather.
