      Provodnikov: The New Danny Green.
He might not be well known to the casual boxing fan but to hard core boxing fans that would be a heck of a fight for Provodnikov and fight fans would get a treat watching it

Take Garcia for example when he fought Salka, huge backlash, rightfully so. But I think this fight is just as bad if not worse, but compare the backlash, not even close to similar.

Then Matthysse when he fought Mike Dallas Jr, a lot of people actually praised that fight because of the manner of the KO.

List goes on, Mayweather gets slated for fighting reigning World Champions and fighters in the Top 5, obviously the standards for Floyd are on a whole other stratosphere though.

Either way, this fight here is one of the most disgraceful in recent memory.
I agree to an extent but you're omitting one aspect of this.

When some fighters take rubbish match-ups, you still get lots of their fans defending them leading to arguments and flame wars that fill up forum pages.

No one was trying to defend Provodnikov-Castillo.

disgraceful. Ruslan is my compatriot but that was a shame of a fight. Only positive thing is that if Castillo was paid well.
Provo is list skillful and lowest boxing iq when compared to Kovalev and GGG. Now his by far the list respected.

Yet, another egomaniacal tool who turned down a fight with Provodnikov. He would have gotten his roided out face caved in.

Hebelongs right above your butt buddy fROID on the P4P list because unlike fROID (your IDOL, posters of his ugly mug I your mothers house - shameful) Provodnikov wasn't blessed with upper echelon, yet genetic and herriditary speed and reflexes. He actually has to FIGHT guys for a living.

Funny thing is Team Garcia was only asking for 250k to fight Provodnikov so why pay Castillo 500 k ?

When is Roberto Garcia next fighting? Thought he was supposed to be fighting on November 1st?
