Finally that's good news, now people will understand Adonis Stevenson doesn't run from no one. Stevenson did a better business deal by swapping network from HBO to Showtime, in the anticipation of fighting Hopkins, but Hopkins crossed Stevenson by swapping network from Showtime to HBO.
It looks like a great business deal for Golden Boy, and a way to leave Stevenson behind at Showtime. But now the lineal Champion Adonis Stevenson have the WBC and the Ring Belt, Kovalev holds the IBF, the WBA and the WBO belt, and each of them wants to be Undersputed Champions.
The stars all well aligned to join the IBF WBA and WBC, the 3 necessary belts to gain that ultimate title. It will be the first time in the history 3 major belt with 2 top class A belts joining in one competition.
I truly believe the scenario is much better this way. We might see a pay-per-view shown as a joint collaboration between HBO and Showtime, which will boost the public interest and maximize the profits.
