    Comments Thread For: Adonis Stevenson Confident of Kovalev Clash Next Year

    Tension have been high since a proposed September showdown between WBC champion Adonis Stevenson and then WBO champion Sergey Kovalev fell apart (Kovalev has since picked up the WBA and IBF titles with his victory over Bernard Hopkins) earlier this year. Kovalev's promoter Main Events had filed a lawsuit against Stevenson's team for breaching what they felt was a valid agreement to face Stevenson on HBO. The lawsuit was dropped when an agreement was reached for Kovalev to face Hopkins.

      Stevenson don't want no part of Kovalev which is why he bailed to Haymon.He and Mayweather are talking from behind the same smokescreens.Nothing and rubbish.

          Stevenson is right. The fight will be bigger if they wait. Just like Mayweather vs Pacquioa is bigger now.

              Stevenson just needs to sign the fight. The fight is not going to get any bigger. Stevenson stopped Chad Dawson and Kovalev dominated Hopkins. NOW is the time for the fight! Not later.

                  This isn't true. After the Cotto fight the hype was at its biggest, Sportscenter was all over it, the casuals were even excited. Now only boxing people are talking.

                                      He kinda has a point. I seriously doubt the fight happens though. It did get bigger and after he gets on TV knocks out the next person, it'll be even more steam but he might be making a mistake by fighting Pascal of that happens before Kovalev.
