    • ^ It took Marquez 4 fights to really figure him out. Come on now.

      • They make too much of the streak, aside from fighting bigger guys Mosley, Bradley, Rios, Algerie & Marquez have NEVER been Ko'd & Margarito only by Mosley (Cotto 2 was stopped).

you know what jmm have against manny? that subtle feint, when that was it's figured out in the late rounds of the 3rd fight, jmm cant do ****, he took the 4th fight because he knows he has a puncher's chance (1 yr cycle of PEDs).

jmm boxing is overrated, all he has against manny is that feint, when it was figured out, he got nothing, he was about to get stopped, he got lucky with the fluke win (PEDs) hence no 5th fight,

jmm got out boxed and kd by a shot Barrera.

                • While Senior is questioning things maybe he should question how his son looked like a fresh 25 year old against Canelo whilst he looked mediocre prior to and after the Canelo fight.

                    • I didn't and am not going to read through all the comments, but one thing that hasn't happened too, if I am not mistaken, is that fact that Pacquiao hasn't been in as many "catch weight" fights in recent years.....

also, Manny getting starched by JMM also has to play into effect, with him taking a more defensive approach.

but back to the "catch weights" one of the things pacquiao had going for him, when he fought the bigger fighters, is they had a rehydrate clause that only allowed his opponent to rehydrate up to a certain weight, usually something to the tune of no more than 9lbs.

I remember that was the deal with cotto and cotto was emaciated, same with de la hoya, and I am sure that practice happened against everyone that was a "catch weight" victim.

in every single one of those fights, all those fighters agreed to the terms. again, almost all fights are won in the negotiations of the fight. pacquiao's career is no exception. he has been very well managed.

that is something Sr., Jr. and Uncle, all detractors, never factor in.
