Mayweather is really at a low point in his career right now..two terrible performances against Maidana (one he lost or did no better than a draw) and the second fight was so boring and corrupt with the officiating, not to mention, that Showtime was too embarrassed to release the real PPV numbers... that May actually needs Pacquiao more than Pac needs him... Mayweather's other option if he can't get Pacquiao is to fight Amir Khan in April/June because Canelo will take his May date LOL..

The circle for Mayweather's decision team is really a small one : Mayweather, Al Haymon, Stephen Espinoza, Richard Sturm, Bruce Binkow, Kelly Swanson.

If Haymon can get the fight teams talking, Espinoza (Showtime) has the backing to market/air the fight, Sturm (MGM Grand) is ready to push the promotional materials in Vegas, Swanson (publicist) handles all of the media relations, and Binkow handles the day-to-day work of putting together the event, Mayweather can fight whomever he wants.

If Espinoza got the call that SHO wasn't going to market any fight but Mayweather-Pacquiao, or the MGM Grand said that they wouldn't host any fight but Mayweather-Pacquiao, or Haymon argued that Mayweather-Pacquiao was the only fight that made any kind of financial sense, there might then be some pressure on Floyd.

none of that has yet to happen, and none of that is likely to happen.

vs Khan (if he gets past Alexander in December), vs Garcia (if he gets past Peterson/Postol January/February 2015), and vs. Cotto 2 (if the Alvarez negotiations fall apart over Cotto dictating terms) are all available for Floyd. If those all fall through, Keith Thurman (if he gets past Bundu and looks good) lso becomes an option before "being pressured" into fighting Pacquiao.
I agree that Mayweather will not be dictated too, but the reality is that the people surrounding him are starting to change they're collective stance. The names are getting closer and closer to Mayweather. I think based on money made, ppv sales and recent opponents, Mayweather is the A+ side while Pac is the B side so he certainly deserves to call the shots. However lets not forget Espinoza already confirmed that he made an offer to Arum 3 months ago, do you think he did that with out Mayweathers permission? Mayweather is on board for this fight, despite what all these Pac fans say, and the purse looks to be growing.

If Mayweather ducks Pacquiao again for My Health Comes First Reasons... and Canelo snatches May and Sept dates.. You think Floyd will try to take the PR Holiday and fight PR fighters? Or do you think Floyd will try to fight on St. Pat's day and fight Irish fighters?

Mayweather v. Cotto 1.5 million PPV buys Pacquiao v. Cotto 1.25 million PPV buys... but wait...

                    Pac-Cotto = a joke of an undercard...

Mayweather v. Cotto = Canelo Alvarez v. Shane Mosley as the undercard fight...

Mayweather v. Mosley when Mosley was hot... 1.4 mil with Canelo on the undercard...

Pac v. Mosley a year later... 1.3 mil horrible undercard

Showtime will be kicking themselves if they have to hide the PPV results for another Mayweather fight if he ducks Pacquiao again LOL
Pac did not do 1.3 with Mosley. This is after Arum stopped allowing official numbers to be released, just like Showtime isn't doing now with Floyd. Dan Rafael said it did more like 1.1 mil.
