Comparing Khan to Hatton is ****** on so many levels. They have had different careers and have different personalities.

People on here seem to love to pin everything on the race card.
I agree cuz race card is played so often it has lost credibility to a point that even when there is a possibility you just can't take it too seriously.

    However,

Bruno had 3 failed attempts at a title and when he finally won it, he lost it in his first defense. What does that make him really? Did he get the same trashing Khan gets?

Did Cleverly with his joke reign get the same?

Khan has went out of his way to expose himself to danger especially with his chin. He could've hid in Manchester and milked his belt for 20 defenses against joke opposition too.

    It raises questions.

Maybe Khan should invite him to his fight in Vegas

I don't think people dislike Khan solely because he's failed a few times either. In fact, the UK public often love loveable failures rather than people who achieve success and are confident in themselves. I often hear the phrase "too big for his boots" from British people, it's ***ing annoying.

Khan just doesn't have a "man of the people" type character that Hatton or Bruno did. Cleverly isn't even worth mentioning because no one really cares about him.

It's sad but Khan might have had a bigger fanbase if he had spent 20 defences at home. Some people actually resent the fact that he's gone away to base himself in America as if he's abandoned the UK - I don't understand that mentality but it exists.

Marquez, like Froch, struggled for years to get attention, and both had to watch a new young fighter take the "easy" route to becoming a superstar just as they were finally getting popular themselves.

You'd think they'd leave it alone now they have made their own money, but for whatever reason, they don't.
no it's not the same with Marquez and Canelo and JMM does not take shots at Alvarez every chance he gets . Froch on the other hand does on Khan

What I meant to say was that Khan failing brings out the haters (for a lack of better word) as it validates their "I told you so" chant, but the real reason is their hatred for his back ground and not the actual losses. Even though there are other people who don't risks like Khan or are more annoying and done less (Haye). He did get noticeably booed against Barrera too and you could hear it on tv among other things. If this is against Brook or some local guy then yeah, but against a foreigner?

I'm not pin pointing it as racism, but it does make you think.

People are correct with their "abandoning the UK" sentiment because that equation of traveling to fight in other people's country seems to only go one way. No need to travel if you are fighting quality at home and have leverage to bring them over. I think it would be nice if big fights were spread across the world.

The race and religion is the issue.

                  Khan hasn't been a boring fighter ...

And yea he is arrogant. That hasn't hurt other fighters

                  Look at haye and froch...

Wow big deal, Khan has been nominated for the SPOTY in the past and don't believe that Froch has even a snowballs chance of winning it.
