Why is Canelo considered so good?

Because he is good. He beat that runner Lara in most fan's opinion and Lara is damn good himself. Mayweather said Canelo is a hell of a fighter and damn good puncher and will be a champion again. I bet a few hundred bucks every time he fights and I only lost money on the Mayweather fight but he was forced to come in at 152 and wasn't at his best. He is only 24 and he has accomplished a lot. He is a skilled boxer, a damn good body puncher and throws hard fast accurate combinations. The Mexicans love him and they are smart boxing fans. If you think he is not that good you could bet money against him and see how that goes. He should be fighting Cotto in 2015 and I think he will KO Cotto so there is your chance to bet big against Canelo. Only very good fighters have a chance to beat Cotto.

He's just as good as Trout, and Lara. I think neither are that special, as much as I like Trout as a person.

Canelo is a fighter. Not every boxer is there to bore the **** out if you and try to edge out a pointd decision, believe it or not. Maybe some of you nerds forgot the dying art of the fight game and hone in on guys who get in the ring to stare at each other and hope the judges give them a W.

I agree with you, but whilst i'm not accusing you as such, people don't need to pretend he's more than he actually is to justify their appreciation for actual fighters.

Tell you what alt-acct-troll/noob, Canelo got beat by fast Floyd...he ain't lookin' quite as quick his last 2 fights.

Canelo, on the other hand, continues to grow up.

A rematch might be really bad for Floyd and my prediction is that we'll never see it because Floyd knows the same.

Canelo is a physical, come foward, boxer puncher that has a great future. He is most successful when he can put his opponents on the ropes. I thought the punch he put trout down with was awesome, and very technical.

Has nice hands and can throw all the punches. Fast hands. Feet of a slow plodder. He going to struggle with any fighter he cant outbox.

Canelo is extremely overrated, shouldnt be anywhere near the p4p list.

I think hes a solid B+ level fighter, good speed, power and exciting style. Also has pretty solid defense. His slow feet will always give him problems against good movers though like Lara and Mayweather. Somebody like Charlo or Andrade would give him serious problems.

Against other ****ers though i'd favor canelo against almost anybody not GGG.

The only thing I don't like about Canelo is he couldn't corner Lara. Kept following instead of cutting the ring.

Canelo doesn't duck anyone so even people who aren't fans respect him. His style is fun to watch and his combination punching is pretty damn good. His main weakness is not knowing how to cut off a ring; he's horrible at that!
