All time Heavyweight tourney #6 Evander Holyfield vs #11 Vitali Klitschko

I have placed 16 of the best H2H Heavyweights(my opinion) and ranked them from 1 to 16. I am curious to see if NSB posters will end up agreeing with me.

So far it seem like every single opinion of mine is also shared by the majority of voters........

Now we go on to Holyfield vs Vitali.

I believe that Holyfield would have eventually won a hard fought decision over Vitali. We shall see what NSB voters think.

That's a great ranking for both. Glad to see holy field get some love...

I'll have to ponder this for a bit but I thi k holy field with his inside technique and ability as well as quickness would give him a slight edge

Holy field is the one guy who I think would be able to implement his style on the inside. I think he'd be able to fight Vitali from the inside out rather than outside in like everybody else has done with the exception of Chris Byrd for moments of their fight. But Vitali is great and reading and reacting on the fly so I could see him timing holy field and stepping back and turning him at different angles to get his awkward but extremely effective punches off... great fight... but i agree with you on the most likely outcome

Would like somewhat like the second Bowe vs. Holyfield fight. Holyfield would menage to get in and out, land the hook and the overhand right, he would not come unscathed tough, Vitali would hit him with some big shots, but i think Evander's beards would've help up to the punishment.

Holyfield by UD, close but clear.

Shame these two never got it on; it would have been an interesting match-up. Difficult one to call, IMO. Could go either way on points.

If we see the Holyfield from circa 1990-1993 and not a later Holyfield, I think Holyfield by decision.

Good post. I think Evander's chin is enough to withstand Vitali's power. I don't think Vitali would be able to outbox Holyfield either.

Vitali by length and destructive power.

Lennox Lewis takes this tournament hands down IMO

                  Pretty lopsided voting so far.

Comon, Vitali schooled lennox, and lennox schooled Holyfield twice. This is one triangle theory that works.

                    Vitali by brutal ko...
