before the dela hoya fight Floyd's drawing power was no where near Manny's when that bs $40 mil flat was offered so that argument holds no ground. floyd says numbers don't lie, so let's do the numbers from when floyd came out of retirement. floyd vs marquez= 1 mil buys. Floyd vs mosley= 1.4 mil buys. then he took a year vacation. coming back from vacation, floyd vs ortiz= 1.25 mil buys. so that totals to 3.65 mil buys. then that bs $40 mil flat was offered. now let's take a look at Manny's numbers of his last three fights before that bs offer. manny vs margarito= 1.15 mil buys. manny vs mosley= 1.3 mil buys. manny vs marquez 3= 1.4 mil buys. a total of 3.85 mil buys compared to Floyd's 3.65 mil buys. so by these numbers... like floyd says numbers don't lie... I'd say manny was the A side at that particular moment in time. since floyd came back from retirement to the time that $40 mil flat was offered manny's total ppv buys were around 6.6 mil total.

Of course the PPV should've changed, Floyd showed that he was the bigger draw. You can't walk away from a negotiation, lose negotiating power and then come back and expect the same offer. Business just doesn't work that way.

i wasnt even talking about ppv. i know pac deserve less for the ppv. im talking about the money split. the offer was 50/50 with ppv and ost. cut off date wasnt agree upon so the fight never got made. pac came back and agree to ost but now the 50/50 is off the table when before pac agree, all we heard from floyd was take the test and we got a fight.

And people are acting like Pac accepted and then Floyd changed the terms, when it didn't happen like that. Pac walked away from the first fight to fight Clottey, Floyd made the fight with Mosley. BEFORE the Mosley fight, Floyd said that OSDT would be all the way up to the fight and if his PPV did substially better, Pac was no longer getting 50/50. Pac only accepted lower purse and full drug testing in 2011. Floyd tried to make the fight in 2012. So where is the ducking?

they both went and fought different opponents but they both won and while all this was happening, all we hear from floyd is take the test and the fight will be made. like i said nothing about ur not getting 50/50 anymore, all we heard from him was take the test if u think ur the best. now i dont know if floyd was just bluffing manny or not but then when manny agreed to ost thats when floyd came out and said no 50/50. so do u see where im going with this? thats why pac fans feel that floyd is just coming up with more demands after another.

Again, that was during the negotiations in 2009/10. Pac declined, so the offer changed. That is normal business.

Have you ever read the fight hype timelines Evol? Interesting read, clears a lot of things up. I had forgotten many of the things that had happened. If not, check em out.

yes, i've seen the timeline, i dont go on fighthype much but there's also a timeline on wiki for manny.

i dont think anyone is saying pac deserve 50/50 til this day.

You can frame it any way you like, but at the end of the day it is plainly obvious that Floyd wants nothing to do with Manny.

Unfortunately, even Bob's mouthpiece at the time Dan Raefel said Arum inflated the numbers for Pac fights. There was a reason why he stopped allowing the numbers to be released, just like there is a reason for Showtime not releasing them now.

bob could of inflated those numbers but then again Floyd's numbers could've been inflated too. we wouldn't know for sure. but the fact of the matter is manny was the busier fighter at that moment. at that time I would of put manny as #1 p4p over floyd just because he was more active.
