Let's speak in layman terms. For starters, you're asking questions that have nothing to do with what I wrote. Who said Floyd gets all that money? The question is whether or not Showtime needs the PPV to go over 1m in sales in order to break even. Second, you don't know what Mayweather pays for marketing or what cross promotion takes place between the parent network, etc. what the relationships are, etc. And that's the point. You don't know. Now, what was the point of what you wrote? To say Floyd doesn't get all that money? No ****.
No you read that and it took you an hour to figure out what to type because you came to realize reality. The reality is Showtime, whether they are losing money or not are not happy with the situation. Why? Because they actually have one of the top execs working on this... Do you think when you get an oil change they get the most experienced mechanic to do it because he has nothing better to do? It's no different here. They put Espinoza in charge and he's been doing everything for 4 fights... why the change all of a sudden if it was going so well?

As for the money, I broke down the numbers you provided. We know for a fact Floyd gets 32 million (or so) from his fights, he posted the checks. We know his PPV are $75 a piece (assuming every person gets HD.) Using this wonderful thing we call math, we times $75 by X (in this case number of buys.)

75 x's 1 million would equal $75 million exactly. I would keep going by I did this already, try reading it again and again if you have to understand. (I know studying is hard.) The fact is the numbers don't add up from Showtime from what we know and the one fight that did well where was this guy? Not even on the radar lol. The fact that CBS is even negotiating this fight instead of Floyd should really just say it all, Manny is Arum's b*tch and Floyd is Showtimes and that just makes the Floyd guys mad because something else Floyd said they just found out is untrue.

    • My gloves

      My location

      My ring size

      My entrance first

      My lion's share

My name first on all promotional material

These are all of Floyd's demands, it's simple as that.

Manny has to take it otherwise no fight, the only demand I think he should really put up a fight for are the gloves, he should wear what he likes.

Now I'm racist? Damn, you have gone to fl*mo levels son, I see why us Cotto fans get such hate on here. Some of us really are Fl*mo/Pact*rd dumb. If they were 2 white American fighters guess what... I still wouldn't have thought of Mexico. It has nothing to do with racism, seriously I'm done with you and for the first time am embarrassed to be affiliated on the same "side" as you.

If Mayweather uses the excuse that he won't fight Pacquiao because he doesn't like what Bob and Manny are saying, he's an even bigger b1tch than I thought.
I'm all for promoting the fight, but do it after its actually a signed deal.

          • The problem is that most idiots, more so on this site specifically, believe and worship mayweather's Instagram account and how he broke down this fantasy $70+ million payday when in fact he "only" got about half that. Showtime is contractually obligated to pay him his $32 million or however much it is. If the ppv does not sell well, there is no upside. Numerically and fiscally, it's impossible. Pay more attention to disinformation. Or don't. I don't care. It's just those special few are really touched when posting their deity's Instagram nonsense.

Sweetheart, I don't need an hour to sift through bull****. You actually think the gate revenue isn't part of the cash flow. It never occurred to you that sponsors pay the promoter. You talk about million dollar ads on the Super Bowl because you've seen so many boxing ads during the Super Bowl, right? And you know exactly how much CBS would charge the promoter to air an ad that might generate future cash flows (try not to laugh). Just shut up.

No I just see the bs that you spew out at times. You stated to me to mention a fight with that much attendance. I gave you an answer, chavez sr and his mexico attendance of over 100k. Then you say, "two black americans". So yes, you ARE bringing race into it. You just didn't like the fact that I gave you a legit answer, and you had to twist it to fit your point of view. Dont think so? Go back and reread.

Same "side" as me??? HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA

                  • This is all a process, I don't think Moonves would meet with Arum without at least understanding what is going on with his side of things.

Getting Haymon and Arum to mix is almost like getting oil and water to mix but Moonves has access to essentially an unlimited supply of that universal solvent known as money, so it could work. Plus, really no matter what he spends it is pretty much a good investment for his company and it's boxing brand (the CEO cares enough about the sport to make something happen no matter how obvious).

We'll see how serious things get
