Meeting with the CEO of CBS couldn't hurt. They are the ones cutting the checks for Floyd on this deal. Weren't they the ones pushing for the Canelo fight to recoup the loses of the Guerrero fight?

I hope Cotto does! 2 ex-TR fighters co-promoting their own mega-fight in NYC...Arum's nightmare! It would be truly historic!
So floyd signs his own checks? Funny I thought it was ODH signature on that shiiit

After the 1st negotiations that we're just talking about, then rejecting him before he went to jail, I wouldn't offer Manny ****! Keep fighting Algeri, Vargas, etc. Good luck with that!
We all know Floyd's track record on goalpost shifting, which is why he's become the butt of jokes

Basically you need someone of at least as much clout as Moonves to get Arum and Haymon to actually sit down at the same table. Still even for the CEO of CBS that sort of thing takes time to make happen as neither side wants to look like they have their ass hanging out.

I think he will be able to get those guys to the water but he can't make them drink~ so we will see if those guys can work out a deal which is tough to see but not impossible because both sides are big players that have things the other could use in tradeoff.

That is the hardest part, Floyd is a jackass but he loves money which means he inherently has a price. It would he insanely high but a number the CEO of CBS could easily cut a check for (company check of course).

                    1. Haymon isn't a promoter according to you guys, so he can't pay Floyd.
                    2. Floyd can't pay himsef $32 million in order to fight for Showtime, so who do you think is paying him?
                    3. If you sign a contract for performing a service, both sides have to get what they agreed to.
                    4. Showtime didn't sign Floyd without a minimum numbers of buys and/or dollar amount per fight. If Floyd isn't meeting that up to this point (which I can promise you he isn't based off buys) CBS can make him fight whoever or cancel the contract and just not pay him.

All that being said do you really think Showtime is going to be okay with 3 PPV's under a million and one really good draw? The answer is of course not, they didn't get into this with Floyd by Floyd saying "I'm the biggest draw, ever, my name is MONEY. You guys will break even when you sign me." Of course not, Floyd said if you sign me I'll make you even richer... that hasn't happened and Showtime (his daddies) are letting him now the easy ride is over.
you made good points until the last paragraph. They have an out clause-if Floyd wasn't meeting expectations they'd exercise the out. It's ok to speculate they are not happy, but they have made no indication they are parting ways and he has 2 fights and $70 mil or so guaranteed.

why would they pay him that if the deal is no longer profitable.

Why would Greenberg lie about this? While being beholden to GBP and eventually fired for it. But you'd rather believe Schaefer lololol
