Floyd fights for himself only, not for his fans. Fans want the fight. Legacy, money is there. If that is his excuse and he can't get past his little resentment, all fans should say F#$# you Floyd Mayweather. Resentment over the will of the fans who pay the $$$.

I believe there has been a verbal agreement since last year between the two camps. Now they are just hammering out the details. I'm sure there won't be any announcements until the contracts are signed.

The red flags for me were:
1. Mayweather saying he had a surprise announcement.
2. Mayweather taking on Maidana and Pacquiao taking on Algieri. These are like tuneup fights for the styles they would be facing.
3. Mayweather paying off Ariza with a non-competitive contract. Basically Ariza can not work with anyone Mayweather is fighting against. This is a big red flag.
4. Mayweather Sr. complete turn around about the fight.

What would bother me about this fight would surely be Mayweather's demands on gloves.

It was only negotiated because Manny was afraid to have his blood tested. thats the same OST rios and algieiri had to take. funny, it didn't stop those mismatches from being made, just like signing to TR didn't stop the Shane or JMM 4 fights from being made.

Not what happened. Bob talked to Greenburg, Greenburg called Floyd camp and inquired about his plans. Bob called that "negotiations". Floyds team including Schaefer said there were never any negotiations. Schaefer even offered to take a lie detector test to prove it. I really think this is one big thing that made Floyd feel that Arum was not really serious about making the fight, especially after what happened in the first negotiations.

i defend him becoz he told pacquiao not to resign with bob if he wanted the fight and pac clearly decided that he didnt want the fight. he could have done the same thing that cotto did. be free agent get the floyd fight maybe even a rematch then go back to bob if he wanted to but he decided not to take the fight. what people dont understand is that floyd isnt desperate enough to do anything against his will. he is still getting very well paid so you cant push him around. the only way is to accept his demands
