I believe there has been a verbal agreement since last year between the two camps. Now they are just hammering out the details. I'm sure there won't be any announcements until the contracts are signed.

The red flags for me were:
1. Mayweather saying he had a surprise announcement.
2. Mayweather taking on Maidana and Pacquiao taking on Algieri. These are like tuneup fights for the styles they would be facing.
3. Mayweather paying off Ariza with a non-competitive contract. Basically Ariza can not work with anyone Mayweather is fighting against. This is a big red flag.
4. Mayweather Sr. complete turn around about the fight.

What would bother me about this fight would surely be Mayweather's demands on gloves.

If the fight is made, I can't wait for all the excuses that will come from Pacquaio fans BEFORE the fight takes place.

Before Mayweather signed to fight Mosley, all the haters claimed he was afraid of Mosley. As soon as the fight was signed, all of a sudden, the 'Mosley is old' excuses started surfacing.

If this fight is signed, I can't wait to see some of the excuses the haters will come up BEFORE the fight to justify a loss by Pacquaio, such as: "Pacquaio has been in too many wars"; "Floyd waited for Pacquaio to get old"; "Freddie Roach is too sick with his Parkinson's disease to train Pacquaio"; "Alex Ariza is giving Floyd Mayweather information about Pacquaio"; "Pacquaio won't be allowed to wear the right kind of gloves"; "Pacquaio is more concerned about the political problems, hurricane, flood, drought, plague, alien invasion, etc that has struck his country and this will distract him from training."

ODH did NOT dictate what gloves he can wear. Floyd wanted to use 8oz gloves for a 154 lbs fight, when the mandatory for that weight is 10 oz gloves. Now what floydie did to maidana, thats a ***** move. Both were 8 oz gloves. One was MX gloves, the other Powerlock. Now go and say that those gloves are the same.

Ummm you are wrong..... Oscar dictated the gloves, ring size, weight and everything else. Floyd just agreed to get the fight. These are facts and well documented.

why should manny be tested in the first place? Why cuz floyd said so?

why should brandon rios be tested? because pacquiao said so?... come on man. floyd bringing up testing has been the best thing to happen to boxing.. look how many fighters are doing it now.. it is cleaning up the sport. . manny should have, from day one agreed to testing. . ducking it shows hes hiding something. .asking for cut off dates n whatnot is fishy. . imagine if testing was in place when oscar fought two roided freaks (vargas n shane) it could've been avoided
