Let me edit that because while I don't know **** about boxing you don't know **** about reading.

You said this fight is okay in a temp stadium. My point was saying that the fight was bigger before Manny got knocked out and even then putting it in a temp stadium is a farce.

Have fights happened in outdoor stadiums? Yes. But we were talking about a temporary stadium, has any major fight happened of one of those? God I hope not and I don't know of any. So now which is it, an outdoor stadium or a temporary stadium?

And here you still are trying desperately to not look like a fool saying Pac/May is fine in an outdoor temporary stadium, in the middle of the desert where it's 100 degrees at night. We have ourselves a true genius, give me that kickstarter link asap bro.

What did I use that wasn't factual? Floyds purse? The amount of buys? The price of the PPV? No all of that is factual. And using those factual numbers, I came to a LOGICAL conclusion. Facts and logic aren't the same thing... but like I said before you have a physical, since it's your brain, mental, incapability of understanding that. It's not that you think I'm wrong your brain simple cannot fire the right connections to do even take what I said into consideration as being reality. I'm not saying it is reality, I'm saying it makes the most logical sense given the FACTS that we do have.
So nothing you said was fact. Believe me, I know. Unfortunately, you can't come to a logical conclusion when you think PPV revenue (which covers them anyway) is the only revenue.

That's happened before. We're still waiting for Manny to sign a contract. So far he has never seen one that he liked.

Using that "logic" again aren't you? You said "imaginary" stadium. I said its not completely imaginary because it has been done before.

Mayweather needs to accept or face public backlash. If he refuses, I can't see his own Mayweather fans defending him.

But then again, there are some die hard delusional ones out there.

What would he have to refuse? Arum has come out and said some pretty slick things as of late but has yet to make any form of an offer. Not to mention he says he isn't allowed to speak about making the fight and who is involved then proceeds to talking about making the fight and telling us who is involved.
So what is the truth and what isn't, why haven't we heard from Floyd, or any CBS/Showtime reps? I wouldn't believe anything until you see it occur. Until then it is just more crap from Arum for the gullible public.

Floyd gets mad at anyone trying to make this fight happen... so if Showtime tries to make it and Floyd gets mad..which Network is going to run to this time?

I wouldn't be surprised if Floyd denies he had any talks with Showtime about making the Pacquiao fight...
Arum even admitted there was no negotiations. Schaefer and Ellerbe said Greenberg called and asked about Floyds plans, that is not negotiations. Floyd had said very early that he was taking time off, so how could there be negotiations when he aleady said he wasn't fighting....and he didn't. Arum had already promised Margarito that he would be fighting Manny and that's just what happened.

                  MAY 10, 2010

Ellerbe denies that negotiations will resume; wonders who Team Pacquiao plans on negotiating with.

"Ain't nobody thinking about Manny Pacquiao, Bob Arum or Freddie Roach. Floyd isn't thinking about none of them, and there ain't no negotiations starting, period.* Floyd is just coming off a great win.* He's not thinking about any of them," Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe would comment when asked if negotiations would indeed resume as quickly as Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach had suggested. "Who are they negotiating with, themselves?"

                  MAY 11, 2010

Arum announces November 13 as date of Pacquiao's next fight.

One day after Manny Pacquiao won his election to the Philippine Congress, promoter Bob Arum announced November 13 as the date of his next fight. "I have reserved the date [November 13] and both the Dallas Cowboys Stadium and MGM Grand in Las Vegas are available. The cable systems and the satellite providers have put the date aside for us, so the table is set. Manny can get sworn in at the end of JUNE, then attend the sessions of congress in JULY and -- as long as he keeps in shape -- then he has plenty of time to train for the fight," Arum announced.

                  JUNE 2, 2010

Mayweather reveals that he'll be taking the rest of 2010, and possibly 2011, off.

On June 2nd, Mayweather was spending time with Armando Carral, an 18-year-old with Hodgkin's Disease whose wish to meet the undefeated fighter was granted through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. While conducting a video interview during the event, Mayweather nonchalantly broke the news that he was taking the rest of the year off. "At this particular time, Floyd Mayweather is taking probably a year off, a couple of years off, from the sport of boxing. I don't really know what the future holds for Floyd Mayweather at this particular time, but, you know, I can probably take a couple of years off," he would explain to the reporter.

                  JUNE 4, 2010

Once again, Ellerbe denies any negotiations are taking place.

Nearly a month after the first time he commented on the subject, Leonard Ellerbe once again denied that negotiations were taking place. "Leonard Ellerbe, Mayweather's adviser, denied Friday any talks between the two sides have taken place, and said Mayweather has no interest in discussing boxing, just five weeks after whipping Mosley," reported David Mayo of the Grand Rapids Press.

                  JUNE 6, 2010

Arum chooses not to believe Floyd's comments about taking 2010 off; says a proper announcement should be made via press release.

Despite Floyd Mayweather's comments about taking the rest of the year off, Bob Arum says he chooses not to believe Floyd because the "proper way" to make such an announcement is via press release. "I'm used to Floyd saying a lot of things like that. Floyd says a lot of things and I choose to believe differently. Mayweather says a lot of things that he does not believe. It could have been just spur of the moment, him saying he was taking a year or two years off. I'm sure, if it is true, he will make that statement in the proper way which is to put out a press release," Arum would tell Michael Marley of Examiner.com. He would also repeat those comments to the ABS-CBN North America News Bureau, stating, "I'm saying, that's Floyd being Floyd. Until there's an official release saying that, I choose to believe differently."

                  • I got optimistic when Bob said he was down to make the fight no more excuses and Pacquiao called out Mayweather after the Algieri fight for the first time BUT I didn't like it when I heard Arum say "I'm waiting by the phone for them to call". That' didn't sound so good to me. Also, Pacquiao is going to have to take less and I don't know if he is willing to do that.

No way a fight like this happens outside of Vegas or MSG. The celebrity clientele are not shelling out thousands of dollars to sit at a football stadium. You will lose high dollar vendors pulling a move like that. This fight will happen somewhere with that level of history and luxury.
