Comments Thread For: Froch: Khan Gets Cleaned Out By Top Level Punchers

IBF/WBA 'regular' super middleweight champion Carl Froch is questioning Amir Khan's ability to compete with the best of his division, especially with welterweight fighters who can punch like Keith Thurman, Manny Pacquiao and Kell Brook.

Khan did get a close twelve round decision win over dangerous puncher Marcos Maidana in 2010, when they were both at 140-pounds, but Maidana had him in a lot of trouble in the championship rounds and came very close to a stoppage.

Maidana was a top 5 fighter when Khan UD'd him Froch. I win a cookie.

I don't think they're called top level punchers if they can't clean most people. I was very impressed with him surviving against Maidana, I can't believe he didn't even go down.

Yea - the Maidana win was very impressive. It will be very hard to do something like that again though.

Difference now (after Garcia) is that any decent top WW who can punch will go head hunting for Khan.

Maidana was a good win - Khan showed some balls in the final round to speak through.

But he has moved up to 147 now, I don't think that top fighters at 147 are afraid of him.

He's very beatable (and still unproven) at 147.

Oh look Carl Froch wants to stay relevant again, lets mention the biggest named boxer from Britain again that I know I will never have to fight due to weight division reasons

This absolute **** ****, should shut up and fight DeGale or an actual meaningful fight (something he hasn't had in 2years now) before he comments on anyone elses career.

I agree to a certain extent but Froch has no business talking about Khan. It's not like they're ever going to fight.

Anyone know who's got the rights to show Khan/Devon in the UK? I know BN are showing the Bradley fight on the same night so I doubt it'll be them but I haven't heard anything else.

Best thing on Skys PPV Saturday was Carl Froch. You got Corbra'd was amazing. Put Groves in his place. He does speak his mind/ The international superstar.
PS that how bad the card on SKY was on Saturday.

You just sit back and wait for Khan to make a mistake and catch him and he will go down. The man has a **** Chin that is NO SECRET!
