Who would win and why? Lacy was outclassed by Calzaghe but definitely has a lot of talent and a big punch. I think this would be the perfect fight for him - WBC title on the line, and a decent record. I think he could and would beat Beyer, depending on how much he has left. What does anyone else think?

Originally posted by myunksafiedExactly. Thats why I think Jeff should fight him. He can annex another world title against someone thats not all that really. Its the rebuilding process, my friend. We dont wanna send him in with an animal that will maul him and finish him forever. Thats why I think Markus is a great comeback opponent for LacyComment

i dunno how the calzaghe beatdown has affected lacy's mentality. but im sure hes not ready to take a big fight after such a beating. i dunno how he would do.
pre-calzaghe, lacy probly wouldve done the same thing to beyer that green did, and probly the same thing would happen: beyer by bull**** decision.Comment

Stylewise i think Beyer is actually not that easy an opponent for Lacy. Beyer an illusive target and a good counterer.
However if Lacy is able to return at full strength i don't think it'll be quite enough for Beyer.
Beyer is not THAT fast and not THAT skilled offensively. He will find it difficult to put the needed pressure on Lacy, to keep him at bay.
I'm still unsure how good or how bad Lacy actually is. Was the Calzaghe fight a one off? Would be interesting to see him there against someone who's skilled, but not quite up there with Calzaghe.Comment
