Why do people say "Stylistically, Algieri was more of a challenge." Do people think that someone becomes difficult to deal with by virtue of being tall?

Algieri cannot box. It doesn't matter how tall he is, or how much he moved around the ring: he could not box.

Its delusion, plain and simple. That's the only explanation for them claiming that Algieri is better than (or would beat) Maidana. Algieri barely sc****d by a one-dimensional Provodnikov and suddenly this makes him worthy of a PPV shot at the supposed "fighter of the decade"? Fu(k outta here. They'll say anything to make Pac's win over a guy with ONE victory of note and 8 knockouts seem like a great accomplishment.

Guerrero is way more accomplished of a fighter and had success campaigning against legit contenders @ 147 lbs. Whereas, Algieri did not. Algieri would be seen as a tune-up even for guys like Maidana, Guerrero, Broner, etc. Even Malignaggi has a better case for why he should be awarded a fight with Pacquaio than did Algieri.

No Mags didn't. Paulie would have gotten beat down by Pac just as he did by Porter. Fights like Rios & Algieri happen when Floyd has no ballz to fight Manny. Marquez knows his Hail Mary one punch was all fluke which is why he wants no part of one rematch for Pac. It's okay for Marquez to beg Manny & Bradley for rematches, but can't extend one to Manny.

Haymon protects all his fighters, they can't fight on HBO, so you limited if you're Manny as to who you have to fight.
