I feel sorry for Paulie... The ass whooping that he is going to accumalate on june 10. He's making him self sound like he is going to dominate on June 10. HAHA Cotto could box also. I don't know where Paulie got one dimesonal fighter from. By all means my ni99a Miguel Cotto is not one dimensonal. -

i have to addmit that Malignaggi does have a good assessment of Cotto. Cotto does plod forward a bit and has been one dimensional in recent fights. also Cotto hasn't made the proper adjustments in times of adversity in his fights to make it easier on himself in times of trouble.he keeps doing the same thing, but he's also came out on top each time.
where Cotto is going to be the stronger of the two in their fight is his power and body attack. Malignaggi is going to be a track star in this fight, and he's going to be doing a bunch of hit and run type fighting. Cotto's body attack is going to slow Malignaggi down to where Cotto will be able to get a clean shots on his head.
body work, pressure and "!!!CUTTING OFF THE RING!!!" is what can make this a easy fight for Cotto. if Cotto and his people are smart they will work on cutting off the ring, if not Malignaggi is going to run all night, and could make Cotto look bad.
Malignaggi is going to pick and peck, run around the ring, and avoid any exchanges. his best chance is to box and stay on the outside. in order for Malignaggi to win he has to take the fight to Cotto and in doing so he is going to have to stand and trade a bit, which is just what Cotto needs Malignaggi to do so he can get off his power shots......
i'm not a fan of either fighter, but sizing this one up i think Cotto has the advantage in this fight. power, better experience, and good body attack.Comment

Good post, but lets not forget, punching power automatically makes people think the puncher will win the fight... its happened so many times in the past, and the puncher gets beat -- some people or a lot of people, think that the boxer beats the puncher all the time... well that may not always be true but it certainetly counts for something, and if Malignaggi can box like he says he can, then I would place an underdog bet on him for sure. Also I respect him for stepping up this quickly, because Cotto is no light target. Clearly he has taken the path of hardest resistance, and that deserves props alone, for the stage that he is at in his career.Originally posted by deuce_dropi have to addmit that Malignaggi does have a good assessment of Cotto. I look forward to taking some more points of off Knives with this fight. People seem to think this will be a walk in the park for Cotto. I'm not so sure. Paulie can talk the talk, and you know what? Maybe he might just be able to walk the walk, as they say in America.Comment
