Maidanas a good example, heavy puncher, but. now that his competition is better he's not koing as many people. And look at Hopkins, he's a decent puncher but fighting top guys makes your ko ratio much lower.
This is true. Loma could have easily gone 18-0 with 16 KO's fighting all the 4-3, 10-2, 18-15 fighters out there like most fighters do. He skipped those type fighters and it was baptism by fire for him from his second pro fight. He has always wanted to fight the best, right from the start and that is the attitude to have, maybe even too early. He has guts fighting such a torrid pace this early. He is the definition of SLICK.

When was the last time a guy with a few fights beat a guy with over fifty fights and did it one-handed from early on.

I wouldn't agree those guys are overrated but the problem with them is that their power is more notable than their skills, whereas technical skill is Loma's special trait and you can take away power and then those guys you mentioned may be vulnerable but Loma has the skills to hang with or beat anyone, even if he doesn't possess concussive power.

Why are they overrated? They are both clearly high level world class fighters.

              I don't know why you're so sure.

Walters would have destroyed the guy Loma just fought...and everybody else on his resume.

You have to consider the level of opposition.

Walters just destroyed Donaire but Loma gets credit for dropping some scrub and hurting his hand.

Imagine what Walters would do to Russell and Salido.

It's about time somebody said it.

i doubt walters could beat a 150lb orlando salido who was low blowing like a maniac.

also donaire is a major hype job.

in terms of skill: russell jr >>>> donaire

Walters would have knocked Salido's old outta' shape as.s spark out.

Donaire( World Champion) is better than anybody on Loma's resume and 10xs the fighter Russell Jr ever dreamed of being.

                    You know this yourself.

I know Ya'll like Loma but Walters is on another level.

I can't believe some people are hating on this performance. Just kidding. I can. There are some true Down syndrome posters on this forum. Another great night of work from Lomachenko.
