Comments Thread For: DeGale May Turn Attention To Groves if Froch Walks Off

James DeGale could switch his attention to a rematch against George Groves if he defeats Marco Antonio Periban.

The Harlesden fighter is mandatory challenger for Carl Froch’s IBF super-middleweight title, but is being forced to wait for the champion to make a decision about his future.

DeGale can keep himself in the spotlight with a win over Periban this Saturday, live on Sky Sports Box Office, and has urged Froch to either face him or vacate his title.

Don't know if Groves will even get past Anthony Dirrell in all honesty

I don't either and especially not after that dreadful showing against Rebrasse.

I can't tell if that first fight with Froch really flattered him or he has regressed

Groves is in line for the title shot. Degale will have to continue to wait.

Not sure Degale is getting past Periban to be honest.

DeGale needs to fight Robin Reid to earn his shot at Froch's belt.

Froch clearly took him lightly and even then Groves couldn't get the job done. He's a total bottle job.

The delusional mug is still going on about how Froch got "lucky" both times

He doesn't see the irony in how he knows he got lucky against DeGale and that's why he ran away from the rematch for years.

What a buffoon. He clearly didn't get enough oxygen to his head when he was forced to suck on some after Froch flattened him.

Did Degale ever make an offer to rematch Groves? Or did degale cry like a girl and run off to channel 5?
