Not sure I've seen a heavyweight in history who's been fighting such experienced competition in their first 10 fights. He's fighting guys with 30+ fights and 20-30 wins every time. To compare Klitschko fought a guy who was 4-2-3 in his 10th fight.

The real danger is that Hearn, seeing the incredible interest in AJ, will expedite his 'apprenticeship' period, and put him against someone he should really be fighting in 3-4 bouts time.

Absolutely. He's talking about Fury, Price, Chisora etc now. I honestly don't see why you would even think like that right now. Build AJ up, get him to be a solid world contender before putting him into these massive domestic fights that really should be massive PPV fights in 2-3 years time.

I hope Hearn knows what he's doing. AJ should focus on solid match making at the moment, fighting people with different assets to test himself.

AJ feels like he's the guy though. As in, he's THE guy Britain has been waiting for since Bruno never materialized, really. Don't waste it for a quick buck.

Pulev was among the best opposition available.

It's OK if you guys have chosen to boycott the heavyweight division because you don't like it. Nobody is forcing you to like it. But then after admitting you don't follow the division you come in and voice these passionate opinions about it and sound completely clueless.

Shannon Briggs and Deontay Wilder may suit your personal fetishes, but they are NOT better than Pulev. One is an old geezer and one is just a terrible crude fighter. Wlad begged to fight Stiverne but it appears Wilder is getting the shot instead.

Jennings is pretty good but since there's a very immediate possibility of him facing Wlad and losing, people are making sure to berate him as much as possible. And he is a bit outsized.

Joshua is rather promising but Wlad is practically his mentor. It's obvious that he's working his way up very slowly and not looking for a title shot right now.

Fury has taken this passive aggressive approach for years where he talks **** about Wlad then when asked about fighting him simply changes the subject. It's pretty obvious he wants to milk a few more domestic level fights with Chisora type guys before getting KTFO and retired by Wlad.

Wlad has fought better opponents than the above listed before but he fought them while they were young and undefeated and when they lost, everyone simply dismissed them as never-weres.

Haye is still "semi-retired". The true #2 in the division Povetkin was shut down in an hideous match.

Hopefully he lets this bunch beat each other up until a true elite emerges and puts them down. The harder he makes it for "slick americans" to berate his competition the better, and that requires forcing them to fight and beat each other.

People hate Wlad so much there was a thread comparing him to Joe sack of **** Frazier, one of the worst title contenders in boxing history, in any division, who was beaten in an athletics competition in his prime by a race car driver.

All good. But like many others you seem to be forgetting that Fury is the same age as Joshua and has been held back till now.

Since you desperately brought up Floyd, the difference is Mayweather beats his opponents whether they are above average, average, or below average. Wlad gets KTFO by below average opponents, average opponents, and hasn't fought any above average opponents.
