Bit like Mayweather then only difference is Mayweather could have fought hard opponent

His limited pro experience and lack of quality opposition don't add up to a fighter who would give Klitschko any kind of run for his money. Pulev has only beat journeymen and hasn't proven his worth on the elite or even B+ level yet. It took him 9 rounds to get rid of Michael Sprott. Nothing against Sprott but he is a journeyman who shouldn't give a top level opponent any trouble whatsoever. As far as I know, Pulev hasn't beaten a single top 20 contender.
If Joshua gets rid of Sprott within 3 rounds, I would think he is already on his way to becoming a major future threat to the heavyweight crown that Kubrat may or may not ever be.
Derek Chisora has 4 losses, but even he has faced much tougher competition earlier in his career than Pulev and took Vlad's brother the distance. Then you also have Stiverne and Fury who are respectively smarter and bigger than Pulev, as well as some other up and comers like the Australian Lucas Browne who depending on how he handles stiffer competition, could be a future contender for the heavyweight crown.
It's no mystery why Klitschko decided to face Pulev instead of Fury who earned the right to fight him as Klitschko's mandatory challenger. He wouldn't have the size advantage with Fury and Fury has a decide jab!
Title eliminators and mandatory positions should be eliminated if they don't get honored by a shot at the champ. Based on what happens far to often to mandatory challengers, they should call it a voluntary mandatory because for some crazy reason, the champ can just decide not to face his mandatory challenger. Unless you change weight class (which is usually a cop out to not have to face your mandatory challenger) anyone who does not honor his mandatory challenger is a phony who should be stripped of the belt that the mandatory challenger earned a chance to fight for through winning a title eliminator.
Ustinov and Dimitrenko were top 20, maybe top 10, when Pulev beat them. I think Tony Thompson was top 20 too. Fury pulled out of a final eliminator with Pulev to fight David Haye, so Pulev definitely deserved his shot.

He didn't make the most of it, but he did earn it.

Let's get this straight, Pulev didn't have a chance of winning because of limited experience.

In previous eras, there were ZERO challengers with such an ammy background combined with 20 fights at "200+" HW. His real HW experience is beyond doubt. And he fought good opponents, and he won them too!

What, is Wilder with 30+ bum fights under his belt somehow MORE experienced than Pulev?

The same was said about Peter, Ibragimov, Thompson, Haye, Byrd, Chambers, Chagaev, Povetkin and now Pulev were all the toppest boxers, praised BEFORE WK fought them, then bummified after.

Wladimir has never ducked any of them, always fought the best of the best.

There is no HW boxer ever who has faced MORE decent opponents (more numerous of them) than Wladimir.

He isn't ducking them now either. He's picking them off, in their order of best to worst. Povetkin was top. Then Pulev was top, Next in line is the American boxers now (unless Fury).

The real question is, is will these fighters (Wilder, Stiverne etc) or their promo's, duck WLADIMIR!

Actually not a bad fighter to emulate AT ALL. You gotta respect the longevity and the long reign at the top of the heavyweight division regardless of what you think of his style. Sure it is not the best ERA in heavyweight but regardless it is not easy to stay on top that long regardless of the competition. We seen guys get to the Top and look dominating doing so, then once they reach the top they start to get lazy and less focused...Chad Dawson comes to mind!

Can someone either make an "objective negative statement" about Klitschko OR make a positive one if they like without "wrapping it up" in completely unobjective "this era is bad" comment?
