  • Comments Thread For: Chris Arreola Injured, Withdraws From 12/11 Return

Due to a lingering left elbow injury, heavyweight contender Chris Arreola, 33-years-old, has withdrawn from his scheduled return on December 11th. The fight, set to be televised as part of an ESPN2 special, was taking place at the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California. It would have been the first fight for Arreola (35-4, 31 KOs) since the May knockout defeat to current WBC heavyweight champion Bermane Stiverne.

Sucks about Chris because he is one of the most exciting fighters at HW, but I'm excited for the Tarver/Banks fight. If Tarver wins, he'll be in the picture again. Hope he has something left though.

Did you see Tarver vs Kayode??? Tarver has heavy hands and puts up a good scrap. I think he'd have a punchers against any HW. He's definitely not needed in the division though. I've just always been a fan of the underdog story.

you do know Tarver was roided out his mind for that bout and was suspended and fired from Showtime because of that right?

Roids or not, that doesn't change the fact that Tarver is entertaining to watch.
