He's just 2-2 in world title fights, and was stopped in those two losses.
Patterson x2, Williams, Machen, Folley, Valdes are all solid wins against some very good fighters, the way he won his fights and his skill level is why people rate him so highly, not sure where I'd put him myself though, the Heavyweight division overall isn't one of the deepest and the way he dominated and cleaned the division in the early 60s is probably enough that people think he can rate so highly.

Just on global name recognition, not record or longevity, I would say:
1 Ali
2 Tyson
3 Foreman
4 Marciano
5 Louis
6 Frazier
7 Dempsey
8 Lewis
9 Bruno (yes, believe it or not)
10 K Brothers (K2)Last edited by Money Shot; 11-18-2014, 01:20 PM.

Good list overall, no one will ever agree on the exact position of fighters but i'm particularly interested to see your write ups for Foreman and Holyfield being higher than Louis and Holmes.
