Putting anyone except Ali as number 1 heavyweight is just nonsense. He dominated the golden era

Accepts Joe Louis at number 5 when he has had a weaker era than Wladimir Klitschko...
      Yet Wladimir is 11th

He was also affiliated with the mob and they prove his fight with Ali were fixed.

Quit because of a supposed shoulder injury in the 1st and the 2nd is the most highly debated stoppage in boxing history because it was total bollocks.

Patterson x2, Williams, Machen, Folley, Valdes are all solid wins against some very good fighters, the way he won his fights and his skill level is why people rate him so highly, not sure where I'd put him myself though, the Heavyweight division overall isn't one of the deepest and the way he dominated and cleaned the division in the early 60s is probably enough that people think he can rate so highly.

Just on global name recognition, not record or longevity, I would say:
              1 Ali
              2 Tyson
              3 Foreman
              4 Marciano
              5 Louis
              6 Frazier
              7 Dempsey
              8 Lewis
9 Bruno (yes, believe it or not)
              10 K Brothers (K2)

Joe Louis needs to be higher in that list imo

that 5th spot makes my neck itch.

Good list overall, no one will ever agree on the exact position of fighters but i'm particularly interested to see your write ups for Foreman and Holyfield being higher than Louis and Holmes.
