No official date for this fight yet!

Let's hope Japanese fighters have balls to face Rigo. Unlike Santa Cruz and Mares.

Can't believe Rigo who's been kinda shut out can get that amount of money for fighting a guy like that. Good for him. Glad he's not sitting out too long. Stinks that he's 34 already though.

But I'm starting to get a little frustrated with him by shutting off all potential fights above 122...

There are a lot of great fights he could make at 126 - Walters, Ghonzales... Even Evgeny Gradovich, with his aggressive, come forward style would make for a great style clash..

Or hell, even Simpewe... Or, unless he's ducking, Abner Mares - with his style would make for a very good clash.

This shows why you gotta give Mayweather and Pacquiao credit for giving up a lot of weight on fight night. If the best in your own weight class won't fight you, sometimes you just gotta let your balls swing deep, move up a weight class, and challenge the biggest and baddest M-****ers around.
Rigo is a small 122 lber, would be dwarfed at 126. Nonito Donaire's big ass couldn't even handle the step up. He already gives up loads of weight at 122.

Rigo gets to bring the new year in, in Tokyo. That's so sick. Hyped to see him in a month.

this is very true . . . he is a rather small 122 pounder. I think that a successful debut in Japan will open up more work with the bantam weights who are so commonly supported over there . . . they could just come up from 118 pounds right and some will come down from 126 pounds. Rigo would be easily favored to beat them all I would imagine and the betting should be healthy with the Japanese faithful
