I will put money on BJS he has beaten some good fighters: Fletcher, Blackwell, O'Sullivan, Bladamura and especially John Ryder who might turn out to be better than both of these two in the end.

I have absolutely no idea who Eubank Jr has beaten off the top of my head, Terry Carruthers? Lol
No kidding. That is what I've saying all this time.

Eubank looks all slick and cool with all those moves he does, but would he be able to execute it against BJS?

BJS is that turtle who slowly and steadily will rise as one of the best fighters like Froch.

      I was asking a question.

Making stuff up as you go.

This is you: "He's a fringe world/european level contender at best"

Fringe European level contender means the best he can do is fight for the EBU title and not win it like Michael Sprott who has had multiple attempts. Just like a fringe World contender is a guy like Librado Andrade who fought for it on many occasions to no success.

BJS already has the EBU title, so he is definitely not a "fringe European contender" especially when his next fight could potentially have been for the WBO title. As for "fringe World", how did you reach that conclusion?

Did I not bold it and address that point specifically? In that case you should take your own advice.

The problem with that point is you did admit to it, yet still think Eubank Jr has more potential.

I did address your "Eubank Jr will be good for boxing" point is because if he was anything he would've done so by at least winning a domestic strap or two, however he was pushed in the corner this time, because unlike Degale, BJS is a traveller who let go off a WBO title shot to knock some sense in to young Christopher. He wasn't expecting that now was he?

He had a good run with trash talking Degale, but he couldn't be bothered with coming down to waste time with him. This time he is in trouble.

Rooting for Eubank Jr. The chemistry between him and his Dad is just awesome. And seeing Sr back in the spotlight just gives me a warm, fuzzy nostalgic feeling. He was my first favourite fighter, and I still love him.

i hope eubank wins. he has more potential, is more entertaining in his own right let alone counting his dad.

but what really has me rooting for him is the way saunders disrespected eubank sr, you just dont do that. i dont like the idea of disrespecting a fighter you arent going to fight, period. whats the point other than being a d!ck? a reitred fighter, worse. retired legend, much worse. coming from a fighter not even close to eubank sr's class its downright disgusting.

i hope jr puts another lobster on his face then knocks him out cold.

You asked a leading question, which is not the same. You said "So now he's over the hill??" when I clearly stated he was approaching his peak, i.e. close to his best, but not yet there.

Please don't try and tell me what I meant when I wrote it. He's European level or world fringe level. That's what I wrote and meant.

Because two guys that are not on world level are fighting for a vacant title and BJS getting a shot at that title, doesn't make him world level. Not on planet earth anyway.

Yes. Your mind can't comprehend that a guy who's fought lesser opposition has higher potential than a guy who's fought a little higher opposition? BJS has showed his level to me. Eubank jr hasn't.

No you didn't address it at all actually. You assumed I said Eubank would beat BJS which I clearly didn't say, before proceeding to tell me why BJS would beat him, which I clearly didn't ask about.

Eubank hasn't looked half as good as Saunders against opponents of the same level, so tell me, other than being racist why you would think this? He's not faster and he doesn't hit hard, Saunders has the better defence and movement. I hate boxing fans sometimes.
u been smoking dat wacky backy havent ya my son?

this thread has nothing to do with race

in regards to eubank jnr i am not yet sold on him, but if he does the job on bjs i will be impressed

bjs might not be ths most talented, but he can fight and he has a ton of experience, so this is a huge test for eubank jnr, maybe to early on in his career?

anyways i am pumped for this fight, bjs mouth and **** talkin was funny at first, but then it got way to personal, when he started talking about chris eubank killing someone etc...as far as banter, i think he crossed the line

Most people also don't put much in that Chris Eubank jr was trained by guys like Mike McCallum and Floyd Mayweather Sr from an early age (I think 15), so in my opinion he's got some of his skills from somewhere.

+ both those guys have only had positive things to say about him.

Picked Eubank in the poll by accident. I'm rooting for BJS.

I hope both guys go on to contribute to the sport regardless of the result. Billy at this point actually has shown more personality outside of the ring than Chris. I like that Chris is a flashy fighter, who might have some pop. We've been missing that at MW with the departure of Martinez.

The thing that really makes me confident in Eubanks winning the fight is that they're willing to take the fight. Chris didn't have to take this fight yet. He would've been justified with another half dozen step ups and then take this fight, ultimately making him more money. If team Eubanks didn't feel they could handle Saunders, they wouldn't be here. Look at guys like Quillin and Andrade, all about money and no risk. Chris will make six figures, but it's chump change for what his net worth will be over the next few years if he keeps winning.
