Boxing scene's daily reminder that Floyd is ducking Pacman. I love how this website hammers this into your skull on a daily basis.

True the only time they show is when it sells good but in reality since like 07 no one has mentioned floyd only selling 400 or 500k in ppvs the numbers are generally near 800 to 1 mil

Why would Cotto pick Trout (25-0, 14 KOs), a good fighter with a belt but a virtual unknown, over Pacquiao, the global star? What gives?

Money and weight is what gives.

For the 2009 fight, Cotto's deal with Top Rank called for a guaranteed $6.5 million purse, plus a share of the pay-per-view profits. During the Sergio Martinez-Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. promotion last month, Arum told boxing reporters that he offered Cotto $13 million for the Pacquiao rematch and estimated that with strong pay-per-view sales Cotto could earn another $2 million from his share of the profits.

Arum said that when Cotto turned it down, he and Pacquiao went with Marquez for Pacquiao's next fight, just one week after Cotto's.

            Cotto vigorously disputed Arum's claim.

"The only offer Top Rank ever made us was the same money as in 2009," Cotto told ESPN.com. "[Arum] made the same offer he made in 2009, and we found it kind of funny. That was the reason we decided not to face Pacquiao. That, and they also wanted me to go down to 150 pounds and give him the same advantage that they gave Pacquiao in 2009, a catchweight."

Cotto said he was surprised to read that Arum said he offered him $13 million.

"Bob said he offered us $13 million, but he never came to us with that offer," Cotto said. "He always offered us the same guarantee he offered us in 2009, with the same benefits, and that's not fair. He offered the exact same amount of money. Of course it's a business, but all we want is fair business. You can say to Bob to tell me he made that offer to me to my face, and you will see his reaction.

"Miguel Cotto always agrees to fight the best. I've never said no to anybody, but you need to treat me fairly in business."

Bob Arum is the Pope of Boxing, he wouldnt lie to the beloved fans. Cotto was lying lol jp
Bob low balls these fighters and when they turn it down he tells the media the offer was absurdly higher than it actually was and the the boxing fans eat it up, the ignorant ones that is, the ones who will believe only what suits their opinions and agenda

Floyd has nothing to answer. He's made 2 offers, and was turned down twice. I hear Manny and Arum talking, but I don't see them signing. At this point, I doubt it happens. If Manny was a free agent like Floyd and Cotto, I believe the fight could've happened, but with Arum calling shots, I DOUBT IT.

So what? Atleast the guy openly challenge Floyd. I dont care if he is desperate or not, I dont care if use it to promote his fight w/ algeiri, I dont even care how much they will earn to the mega fight w/ Floyd. What i cared for is for them to fight and its clear that Pac wants it..

Hopefully the fight will eventually take place next year 2015! and make it a "WINNER TAKE ALL" money! its all about money! Floyd Jr is known as Money Man! but, Pacman nickname sounds like MONEY!(Manny)!

                      espinoza twitted 40m +35 upside 3 times

he never twitted 40m+ 35 ppv shares.

the link provided by the bronx2245 interpret it as 40m+35 ppv shares- which is not really the case.

the big difference betwen the two in 200m gross(i base it on this article http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id...sing-ppv-fight)

                      is:
                      40m +35percent upside> pacquiao would be limited to 54m to a 200m gross
                      40m + 35percent ppv > pacquiao would get 92m in 200m gross(150m ppv)

now the question is is that 35 percent an upside or ppv share?
