Joe could be dropped early but the longer the fight went on the more he could eat punches.

I think the Jones knockdown was an absolute freak as well. It was barely a punch. Calzaghe walked through him with impunity there after and Roy did land some big shots despite getting a battering.

Byron Mitchell came closest to putting Joe away and he definitely hurt him bad.

I'd have those 3 in the top 5 along with Roy Jones and Nigel Benn.

I'm not sold on having Roy jones in there. He had a limited amount of fights against not great opposition aside from James Toney, which of course is easily the best super middle win ever probably, but still. I'd prefer people who actually spent more than 4-5 fights in the division.

With a record of 34 wins, 6 KOs with only 5 of those wins coming by way of robbery - he has to be up there.

Stevenson is ****, Calzaghe wasn't thats how Calzaghe beats him.

Kovalev is the new king of 175.

It would have been better for him if his career started a decade previous.
Archie Moore was a great fighter.
Bob Foster was a great fighter

                    Great fighters do great things.

If Joe was a great fighter then so was Sven Ottke.

Sven fought and BEAT Glen Johnson.....,the same Glen that Calzhage BLATANTLY ducked.

Calzhage was scared to fight Glen Johnson...no way would he go near Stevenson...Even Sven Ottke stepped up and fought Johnson.

Kovalev can dish it out but he can't take it.He was actually knocked spark out in full headgear in his last amateur bout.

He hasn't fought a puncher since Darnell Boone.
Kovalev is just another old HBO can crusher.
