Why is Amir Khan a constant?

I do not understand why Amir Khan has been Floyd's number one potential opponent for the past 2 years. Khan or Alexander as possible opponents next? (Para phrasing Steven A. Smith)No please!

According to Floyd, someone like Amir Khan has to avenge his losses to Prescott, Peterson and Garcia before he is a worthy opponent but then Floyd puts him as an option to fight fight 6 months ago. Amir shouldn't even be on Floyd's radar but it seems like Floyd wants this fight so bad because of Khan's fan base. According to the "Mayweather sweepstakes" Amir Khan should have never been in the conversation as an opponent.

    Some please enlighten me.

It's boxing and it's Floyd Mayweather, don't expect logic to enter the equation.

He hasn't been Mayweather's number 1 potential opponent for the last 2 years.

Back in the good ol' days of 2011 when he was unified champ he was on the verge of getting the shot but then losses to Peterson and Garcia ruined momentum.

The only time he was a number 1 potential opponent in the last 2 years was after he beat Diaz and before Maidana upset Broner.

If you take any word that comes out of Mayweather mouth as the gospel then you are basically new to boxing.

He's exciting to watch. And the UK boys like him (I do also) because he's a good fighter. Not to mention a fan has the right to call for a match.

Albeit, most wouldn't seriously think Kahn would put up much of a fight unless there's something someone knows!

Khan/Mayweather will be huge in the UK. This is a money fight.

Certainly I know its a money fight but according to fight he needs to avenge his losses before this happens. I have a feeling the fight will happen anyway if Khan wins his next fight. Smh

Mayweather is basically using Khan's name to promote his fights - for example in the UK by namedropping Khan, Mayweather has a higher chance of getting on the national news because Khan is a national celebrity. So Floyd then gets free exposure to a wide audience simply by mentioning Khan's name.

Floyd already ducked Khan twice though so there's no way I can see him actually facing Khan unless the IRS cleans him out and he needs money fast.

I find it incredibly interesting that people are calling for a Khan Floyd match-up and are even saying Floyd is ducking Khan yet when a fight with Danny Garcia gets brought up its laughable, this is the same Danny Garcia who knocked Khan out in 4 rounds.

Why isn't Khan Garcia 2 brought up?

                    Winner gets Mayweather?
