I'll put down 100 Million on Hopkins for the hell of it.

It's a tough fight to pick because Tarver is 36 himself, and was weighing about 215 a few weeks ago.

Regardless of what you think, it's a good career move for him, because he's getting a good payday and a shot at the Lt Heavyweight title.

If he loses, big deal, he went up two weight classes at 41.

If he wins, he did what Ray Robinson didn't, and retires as LT Heavyweight champion after dropping two very contraversial decisions to Taylor.

How many punches a round is he gonna average?

Simple, the 1st one ended contraversially, so a rematch was in order (same can't be said with Calzage Viet).

The 3rd fight was fodder just so he and Oscar could fight on the same card.

Probably not very many. It will most likely be boring, but that doesn't really have anyting to do with your questioning his motivation for wanting the fight.

He's only 2 inches shorter than Tarver, and their reach is identical.

Hopkins will look to slow the fight down and counter Tarver.

Tarver's weight is the X factor here, and he's notorious for fading in fights. Bernard will look to make it slow and ugly early, and will turn it up late. He's got a shot at it I think.

If Bernard pulls this off, he gets over on Roy a bit, and then has a win over Tarver along with being the only guy to stop Glen Johnson.

This is a good fight for him anyway you look at it.

In regards to Calzage, hopefully a fight agasint Kessler to see who the World's best Suppermiddleweight is, and then moving up to fight Clinton Woods.

For Bernard "IF" he wins the fight and looks good, or if he loses it and looks bad, he will most likely retire either way.

He was said to be done after the 2nd Taylor fight and really didn't want to fight past 41. He hasn't made the money a lot of the other big guys have, so I think he just wanted another 6 figure payday.
