  • Why does Hopkins wait his enitre career to move up not 1 but 2 weight classes?

There have always been better fights for Bernard Hopkins at Super Middlweight and Lt. Heavyweight yet he has never left the friendly confines of the middlweight division, so why now?

I could understand it if the public was clamoring for this Tarver vs. Nard fight to be made but does nayone really want this fight? Does anyone want to watch a $50 12 round staredown? Is the compubox record for lowest punch output in jepoarday?

Is this fight strictly for the money?

I dont want to hear that SCAP is just hating on Nard, Im asking a serious question, why go up now and make a fight that absolutely no one wants to see? Why didnt he take 60-40 and make the fight with Roy when the entire world wanted it?

Just seems like a ****ty time to decide that he wants to fight at Lt. Heavyweight-am I wrong to think this way or am I just one hatin some *****?

he kept dominating 160. he had the choice of risking a new weight class or continue his reign as the MW king. he chose the latter.

This is getting outright boring Scap.

Why did he wait his entire career to move up? Because he wanted to break Monzon's record of title defenses at Middleweight.

He is now in a win win situation where the undisputed Lt Heavyweight champ is giving him a shot.

Win or lose it's a big payday, and if he wins, he accomplishes something that Ray Robinson tried, but failed to do.

The Hopkins hating is getting especially stale.

Why are those g****s of yours so sour?

I try and throw an easy thread up there every now and then so you can show off your game-you owe me!

It is strictly for the money-so those of you who felt like Roy Jones ****ed you in your ass after the last Tarver fight get ready to get ****ed up the ass again because Bernard Hopkins is about to do the same thing.

The bad thing about this fight is that it will get the **** promoted out of it and regular sports fans will get exposed to this fight and after it is over say "man boxing ****ing sucks"

This is a match you want your novice boxing friends to steer clear of (this is only for super diehards-who understnad what they are getting themselves into) because watching this match will be the equivalnet to eating really bad *****...it may just ruin you to the point where you never wanna go back.

Your right he is in a win win situation...if he stares for 12 rounds (whihc he will do) then you and everyone else can say he was shot.

Lets make a bet Bozo...who do you like in this one...I'll take whoever you dont want.

I'll put down 100 Million on Hopkins for the hell of it.

It's a tough fight to pick because Tarver is 36 himself, and was weighing about 215 a few weeks ago.

Regardless of what you think, it's a good career move for him, because he's getting a good payday and a shot at the Lt Heavyweight title.

If he loses, big deal, he went up two weight classes at 41.

If he wins, he did what Ray Robinson didn't, and retires as LT Heavyweight champion after dropping two very contraversial decisions to Taylor.
