    Grade the HW top 10

Here is the Ring top 10

    1. Kubrat Pulev - Honestly a D- fighter at best with nothing to offer but a decent at best jab. Type of HW anyone sees and thinks if only I had the size and was younger I'd give it a shot myself. If this guy can do it, I think I can and they're probably right.
    2. Alexander Povetkin - Good fighter when in shape. Good technique, underrated combination puncher, decent power. B/B-
    3. Bermane Stiverne - Solid all round but sometimes a bit lazy & spends too long looking for one punch, bit sluggish on his feet, best bodypuncher in the division, very good handspeed, exceptional power. B-/C
    4. Tyson Fury - Big uncoordinated idiot, chinny and can't stick to a gameplan, defense has more holes than Swiss cheese. Does nothing that well but most things fair. C-/D
    5. Bryant Jennings - Awful fighter, if you think this guy is talented I don't know what to tell you. Below average all round. E+
    6. Deontay Wilder - Massive, good handspeed, massive power in his right hand. No real technique. D+ on power alone
Basically a very raw, larger than life, poor mans Randall Bailey
    7. Vyacheslav Glazkov - Cruiserweight to lazy to get in shape. Would be so and so at CW. Solid HW gatekeeper. E
    8. Mike Perez - Half decent cruiserweight too lazy to get in shape. B level cruiserweight/D for the first 5, F level after that heavyweight
    9. Chris Arreola - 5-6 round stamina, alright power, good chin & a huge heart. No defense, no lateral movement just moves forward like a waddling duck throwing arm punches D-/E
    10. Ruslan Chagaev - Shot to bits, a solid C in his prime and in shape. Another E level heavyweight currently and another too lazy cruiserweight. Probably would of been a top, top cruiserweight. One of the best.

Basically outside of Wladimir you have two decent heavyweights, the rest are trash. Stiverne and Povetkin could of probably done okay in previous eras may of gone down as a ''unlucky not to win a world title'' type. The rest would of been gatekeepers/journeymen, few maybe that would of got an eliminator most likely getting sparked and knocked back to where they belonged.

Then again I rank say a Frank Bruno as C+ level. Hes a guy who could occasionally ask a A-/B level a few questions but ultimately fall well short. So I think I've probably been generous with a good few here.

Povetkin and Stiverne are the only guys there that are objectively good fighters. Fury and Wilder will have their chances to prove they are as well.

How in the world is Chisora not on there above some of these fighters? And how the hell was Pulev top ranked? The Ring is ridiculous.

I feel Fury and Wilder can overachieve and are probably the two best behind Stiverne and Povetkin.

Was thinking that myself also I'd have no objections to Cunningham who clearly beat a better Adamek than Glazkov and with some shady reffing beat the always dangerous Mansour - who I feel would actually knock out most of this list.

The HW division is no worse then SMW, WW or JMW.

Yet you don't see many threads about people saying how "non-skilled" the wild, brawling caveman Carl Froch or Marcos Maidana are LOL.

Haters gonna hate. Wlad gonna keep adding to his legacy.

Pulev is a top 3 HW no matter how you wanna spin it. Just like the terrible caveman Carl Froch was when Andre Ward embarrassed him

Actually how on earth is Takam not in the top 10 despite his decent losing effort to Povetkin? He clearly IMO edged out Perez despite it being ruled a draw & beat Tony Thompson and is definitely one of the more skilled heavyweights out there.

I see you conveniently left middleweight off, I wonder why.

Top 3 based on what? His best wins a 42yr old Tony Thompson who got beaten by Takam more convincingly.
Povetkin is clearly far superior and has better wins. Wlad goes without saying.

Yeah probably, his punch resistance isn't as good as it used to be based on recent fights.

Is this based specifically on this era?

I mean you have 40 odd year old guys who can't even hang at the top of cruiserweight coming up and excelling in the heavyweight division.
They are way past it, clearly and even years later they are competing here and almost looking the best they ever have.
