I don't understand how people can say Wlad is prime now. That's ridiculous!

Through hard work and dedicated and good skills he's still performing, but you ask him whether he feels as good now as he did 5-8 years ago.

Why wouldn't I? I'm rooting for my fellow Bulgarian and hope for the best. I can see why he isn't the favourite but stranger things have happened in boxing than him beating Wlad would be.

2010-2013 inclusive I reckon. From his Haye through Thompson fights etc.

The second Tony Thompson fight he was definitely in his prime then.
When his prime began though, I'm not so sure...

I think after his first Samuel Peters fight he steadily became better and better, so I will say it started from 2005 or 2007.

true, tony thompson is a very good fighter, and he beat him so much the second time. The first fight with Tony was relative close by Klitscko standards and there were parts were he was a bit scrappy.

The second fight the right hand he hit Tony with in the 5th was immence. I never forget the commentator saying "youhave just felt u close and personal what its like to be hit by Wladimir"

I actually think Wlad was at his absolute best when he beat Chagaev in 2009.

I think Haye should be happy he faced the 2011 version, and not the version that fought chagaev.

This guy had a lengthy amateur career about 120 fights, has kicking on 70 pro fights at aged 38 and people think hes prime? Are you nuts?

Just because he is still shutting guys out doesn't mean he is still prime. I felt it was hugely obvious in the Povetkin fight especially he had slowed down a lot his shots didn't look crisp, he looked pretty sluggish to me and looked dog tired despite it being fought at a pretty slow pace with not a lot of action.
You can try put it down to Povetkin but truth is he didn't much and couldn't get off.

He will probably look great tonight, fantastic its not because hes at his peak its because Pulev isn't any good.
