Another fighter who squeezes down a weight division for an advantage since he can't fight opponents his own size, yet still got a beat down. His career is now shot.

I'll take a wait-and-see attitude on this one. The guy always comes to fight and punches like a mule... more than can be said of many.

Abregu was so slow, if you know him you have to admit he was not in good shape. The people comes out denigrating now are only casual fans.

C'mon Man U ppl that post stuff just don't understand boxing .. Just a bunch of two edged sword .. One min abregu is a beast and will destroy ali , will knock him out , he's a monster , he's has fist of steel, etc. Etc..

Abregu is a hell've of a fighter who got outclassed by a better boxer who came in with game plan and stuck to it .. If abregu would've been getting his ass beat for 9rds and then knocked out Ali everyone will be saying the same **** tegu was saying about him before the fight concluded ...

Abregu is a good good strong fighter who has some flaws but totally worked for him on his way to 36-1 with 29kos till the Ali fight .. The record speaks for itself .. Abregu hit a road bum but I believe will work his way back up and give him the respect he was given prior to his lost .. Stop the bull**** flip flopping that's utterly getting tiring as a reader!!! He just ran against a guy that was much more superior in talent but prior to the conclusive of the fight abregu was suppose to smack Ali silly !!! He had no chance!!!

Give Ali the respect he deserves for winning against a fighter like abregu and give abregu the respect he deserves and got before his lost !!

I don't know why these argentine guys with a bit of power get so overhyped. He was never that good. He's the worst of the bunch.

Lets not take anything away from Ali he came in with a good gameplan and executed it to perfection. The reality is Abregu just isn't very good and will always have big issues with pure boxers.

Dude is just trying to save face, smh. Don't get me wrong, I like Abregu (especially when he knocked out Dulorme, whom I can't stand), but he needs to admit that he got outgunned and stopped.

Had he gone in there and crushed Ali, he would've kept blabbing about a Pacquiao fight, or fighting anybody at 147.

Hell, he had an excuse for the Bradley loss years ago, c'mon now....this isn't his first time making excuses.

For everyone that's saying that people don't know boxing and blah blah blah just because Abregu didn't look like himself, give it a rest please.

Again, had he had his way with Ali, the story would've been different. He didn't look like himself because he was in with a better boxer whom took his Sunday punch away.

Obviously you don't know the sport, probably never even boxed. Big advantage for HWs, they never have to come in at or below a certain weight. For every other weight class it's different. Do you even understand the concept of weight loss for a fight and how crucial it is to either do it right, or realize you're incapable of making that weight class anymore? The guy comes to fight and beats nearly all of his foes. WTF more do you want from a fighter? Sick of you DA casual boxing 'fans' acting like you're experts.
