I used to say that Ricky Hatton had no reason to fight Junior Witter, and I was right. Witter was a low-level fighter who proved he wasn't a legit star. Hatton is a British legend and has only legitimately lost to Mayweather and Pacquiao (that comeback fight doesn't count).

This situation is completely different. Kell Brook has surpassed Amir Khan in boxing. Although Khan is the bigger star, Brook is becoming a star. Brook is an undefeated legit champion at WW, while Khan has been inconsistent his entire career including being KOed by non-elite competition. Khan should have fought Brook in the U.K. That would be a much bigger fight than fighting Alexander who lost to Porter and has a very boring style and is a marginal fighter popularity wise in one state.

Enough said, the facts are that Khan brings in the money and the name, this wont change no matter how the posters on NSB cry about it.

If Khan Brook happens then Khans the A side.
So your argument is that if you're the A side, you get to cherry pick your fights? Wow great argument...

I look at it a little differently... What's the bigger fight... Khan vs. Alexander (boring, lost to Porter) Khan v. Brook (would be one of the biggest fights in UK history, Brook is exciting and just beat Porter)
Not to mention, which fight is bigger for the boxing culture?

Hmmm... I mean it's pretty clear...

Khan really thinks he's the ****ing man and he's done nothing as of late. Lol it's so funny to me. Imagine he smokes Alexander??? He's gonna start thinking he's the A side when it comes to negotiating a fight with Floyd too.

Brook got stabbed in the leg

The fight couldn't happen in December. And it wouldn't happen until the summer anyway. That's not Khan's choice, it's Brook's as well and everyone involved

I don't think anyone is saying Khan v Alexander is bigger than Khan Brook.

Khan is fighting in dec and Brook in march i believe, hopefully setting up a Khan Brook clash in the summer. So i'm not sure what you're actually arguing here.

Umm you do realize that Brook has been on a public quest to fight Khan and Khan has refused even now, Khan had no intention of fighting Brook. This interview kind of reminds me of the same type of approach fighters have taken to ducking fights...
