The definition of a Cherry Pick means the opponent has no chance and is TAILOR MADE. Chris Algieri is just unknown but his style is a nightmare for Pacman, and Flowmos used to say this they said give Pac movement and a jab you can beat him now this tall lanky fast guy with footwork and a jab is a cherry pick?

Algieri vs Pac is not a cherry pick it is a HIGH risk low reward fight, a cherry pick is when the guy has no shot, and is tailormade. Chris has all the physical intangibles and he has age on his side, its high risk low reward.

Garcia vs. Salka is definition of cherry pick, Salka was tiny, had no intangibles over Garcia and had no way of winning and it showed, it was a supreme mismatch, Salka was so tiny and Garcia looked 3 weight classes bigger than him.

its like funny stuff with these guys. Remember when Zahir Raheem out box Erik Morales and Arum made the Morales rematch instead? flowmos bring that up as Pac ducking slick black boxers, but Algieri is a way better stick and move boxer with height and reach and fast feet and crisper shots and a more active jab, he upsets Ruslan who was basically next in line for Pac and all of a sudden they are mad that Pac is fighting the winner who is a slick boxer.

If Pac chose Ruslan instead, they would say Pac was ducking Algieri.

Byrd is entitled to his opinion.

I mean he was confident in beating Wlad the second time out.

In my opinion, its gonna be hard for pac to look good in this fight due to algieries style. Hes got top notch stamina, fights pretty good going backwards, uses the ring very well, and throws 3,4,5 punch combos constantly. I hated this fight when it was first announced, but started watching algieries previous fights closely to see what he brings to the table and he definitely possesses some challenges on top of having height, reach, youthe advantage. History says that pac doesnt do well with movers and people bit**d about him fighting all come forward dudes , and now here he is fghting a great "boxer" and it's considered a cherry pick...smdh..fanboys are hilarious.

there is not definition...why is he not fighting the WW division..and yes ppl at WW reached out to him..why did he not fight the lineal at 140..there is more than styles to this ****..can u wholeheartedly say chris is worldclass competion and that he's been under the lights enough as a boxer to be ready for floyd, cotto, canelo? then why the **** are u saying it about manny pacquiao..I love manny, but chris was the safest less powerful option..guess wat im saying is when you are worldclass and make me pay to watch my definition for cherry pick widens..

Byrd must be grossly underestimating Pacquiao's boxing skills. If he's suggesting that Algieri can outplay Manny in a chessmatch I disagree.
