Not in a million years would Margarito have beaten Mayweather, he would likely fail to win a single round. Mayweather would be behind him by the time Margarito let off his punches. Margarito wasn't even able to cut the ring off, he just followed.

Only a ****ing idiot compares a prime mayweather to a 49 year old hopkins that would have probably schooled kovalev 8 years ago.

COME ON man. Mayweather would box circles around margarito. Margarito was the slowest welterweight I've ever seen in my life, and I'm not even kidding lmfao. He was just as slow if not slower than baldomir to be completely honest. That was a PRIME mayweather at that time. People really need to come to their senses....

you ever seen maragrito-golden johnson? fight would look exactly the same. floyd would give ground like he always does, go to the ropes and get ko'd with a barrage of punches he doesn't see coming while trying to do his fancy defense which wouldn't work against a guy who throws punches from all angles. it was a good duck for his health. if you know you can't win you shouldn't be forced to take a fight.

Margarito stops Mayweather, no way Mayweather survives more then 6 rounds with Margarito.

You got it backwards. Floyd said he would fight marg if he got a 10 mil guarantee for cotto and Hatton. Arum said only 7 mil. Again he made way more when he fought them without arum

Margarito could not box like Kovalev. He came forward at all times. Kovalev boxed with Hopkins and stayed outside when he threw jabs, he also backed away after he threw punches, to no get countered. Margarito was no where near as smart. Dumbass fighter, that's why old ass Mosley whooped him.

Kovalev is a way better boxer than Margarito so Hell no. Margarito doesn't have the skills that Sergey has.

i didn't get anything backwards. you got your brain backwards. he said he would fight marg if he got a 20 million guarantee to fight hoya. that's pure insanity and arum knew it. hoya knew it. floyd knew it as well because he accepted a 10 mill guarantee when he actualyl fought hoya. do you think cotto and hatton were as popular as hoya back then? how could arum possibly guarantee that much for those fights? he couldn't. in fact even golden boy couldn't as i will prove. golden boy only gave him 8 million to fight hatton after he became a huge star yet he wanted 10 when he wasn't even popular? pure insanity. why didn't floyd ask for 10 million guarantee when he actually fought hatton? he only asked for that much when the topic of margarito came up. it's called pricing yourself out. floyd became more popular and yet accepted less money than he had previously demanded top rank give him.

I'm actually just surprised you think Marg would beat Floyd.

Was it a duck? Could be. But... Floyd had already fought better fighters by then.

You pretty much misunderstood the baldomir comparison. At the end of the day, it doesnt matter if Marg is better than Baldo if Floyd is still better than both and makes them look like the slow come forward fighters with no defensive skills that they are? No one is comparing them skill for skill...just outcome. If Cotto was looking like Pernell vs Marg at times imagine an actual sturdy guy with a chin, better defensive skills and real stamina? Okay, man. Marg wasnt even the best come forward volume puncher at the time lol.. Got beaten at his own game by P Will and probably even had his wraps lol

People still hang on to the Marg myth knowing he was cheating? Or is it because they KNOW he was? Lol.
