In the long run alhaymon could be great for BOXING

I've found it amusing that for years people cried about wanting a UFC model as well as marquee matchups back on network television, but since it's Haymon and he is associated with Floyd, it has to be a bad thing to the muppets on here.

Al Haymon doesn't care about boxing so I don't see how he could possibly be GREAT for boxing. He already seems to have his fighters brainwashed that tough fights are not important.
It has nothing to do with Floyd. Floyd is on a different level of the Al Haymon tree and has power to make decisions about his career and exercises that power which for the most part I'm fine with.
Its the fact that that Al has hundreds of fighters but refuses to match up his better fighters more than once a year.
Its the fact that Al has young, talented champions and contenders that are only fighting once or twice a year in mostly tune up fights.
And lastly, the mentality that he seems to have instilled in his fighters is really sickening for a boxing fan to hear.Comment

It has nothing to do with having everyone under one company banner. Nobody cares about that. People liked the UFC because everyone fought everyone (past tense).
Haymon puts on showcase fights with turds like Danny Garcia fighting turds like Rod Salka when 20 top guys are lined up. The appeal of the UFC model went over your head entirely.Comment

People have such short term memories on here. They act like he's the first champion to have a mismatch. But with haymons nbc deal I think 2015 will be a lot betterIt has nothing to do with having everyone under one company banner. Nobody cares about that. That's why fans just need to get used to potential fights as mere fantasy fights. The way the rate it's going, fans may never see all these fantasies and it takes years to see them become reality. You'll probably need 5 lifetimes to see them. Even then, by the time your second lifetime begins, most of them are out of their primes... Seeing a guy like Thurman, for instance, gives the impression that he'll eventually fight all the top fighters. There's no way that's going to happen the way it's going. At most he'll probably fight 2-3 top fighters (out of how many?) before he calls it quits. You also have to count the number of tune up fights in between such fights.Al Haymon doesn't care about boxing so I don't see how he could possibly be GREAT for boxing.
