Comparing GGG and Kovalev and Matthysse is ******

Comparing this three fighters as big power punchers with nothing else is ****** even before the hopkins fight i said kovalev could outbox hopkins. The biggest difference beatween them is Kovalev and GGG are very decorated amatuers while Matthysse didnt do to well.

    its typical american bias.

according to a lot of these "people," if you're not a slick defensive clinching running coward, you lack skill and technique.

more commonly known as DKSAB (dont know **** about boxing).

started by the mayweather crime family. a family who knows how to fight but really DKSAB.

Matthysse's actually good boxer, not just a puncher, he lost one close fight he was winning after getting injured and certain people ran with it.

Let's not forget Golovkin struggled with Ouma, and Kovalev with Boone. Ward also struggled with Boone/Bika and Mayweather with Castillo/Maidana.

Loma, arguably the greatest amateur(?) lost to an aged Salido, albeit early on.

Point is, nobody's perfect, there are no supermen in this sport.

Matthysse just isn't on that level, at all. He's one of my favorites, but at this point it's clear what he is.

Kovalev proved me wrong on Saturday, not that he won but how he won. Before the fight I called him a puncher who could box instead of a boxer with power, but he proved his capabilities as a boxer. He jabbed, feinted, countered, stayed at distance, and looked pretty damn good.

He and Golovkin have similarities, but there are clear differences between them. Painting them with the same brush is no different than saying Lara and Rigondeaux are the same.

Big fan of the machine but he is no where near the skill of GGG and kovalev in delivering their punches. And yes it is because of kovalev and GGG's extensive and successful amateur backgrounds.

matthyse is still a ****ing beast doe.

                    I must disagree with Weebler.

Matthysse is the most relentless and offensive minded of the three. He is a brawler first and foremost, he does have some skill, but not on pair with Kovalev and Golovkin, specially in the footwork (cutting the ring) department.

Golovkin is a picture perfect pressure fighter, very methodical only attacks when he feels he'll land with true impact. He goes to the body religiously, never forget to land a right or left hook to the ribs and he has that piston like jab.

Kovalev is more of a boxer-puncher out of the three, he's the more fleet footed of the three, he usually doesn't put all that pressure on guys, he circles while moving forward, throw a combination and steps out, jabs well to the body.

They are very different fighters, the only thing that they share is the punching power.
