It should be over. Bernard has done enough in boxing and it is not going to get any better.

Kovalev was slow, predictable, and boring. Hopkins finally fought without hugging, good for his age at that level. He can fight two more years and call it quits. Forget about age, some men age slower than others more and Hopkins is a defensive and dirty fighter who doesn´t get hit much.

I think it's Stevenson or SMW for Hopkins if he sticks around.

Way off and Hopkins has never been 'humiliated' even in his gutsy loss to Kovalev at 49.

              Hoppy beats Adonloss Stevenson

Even humiliated by Kovalev as Hoppy was humiliated by Dawson old Hop can beat Adonloss fairly easily because Hop can out think the haitain. Both ex-cons are vastly overrated but Hop wins the fight.

i wanna see hopkins vs GGG.

if he can last 12 vs kovalev he can last 12 vs GGG.

GGG needs a name on his resume the worst way, Hopkins wants a comfortable retirement.

                1+1= 2.

but now i dont even think he beats stevenson
I love bhop, but i predicted he would lose to kovalev because kovalev is a much better technical fighter than people gave him credit for being. That being said, I thought Bernard still looked like he had whatever he's had for the past 10 years. I would still favor him against Stevenson because Stevenson has the type of flaws that make a fighter vulnerable to Hopkins. Nobody who saw Stevenson vs. Fonfara can think otherwise. My god but Bernard would whitewash Fonfara.

Selfishly, I'd like to see bhop fight and beat Stevenson. But to what end? Hopkins is clearly not the best light heavyweight anymore--that clearly is kovalev. To keep fighting is really pointless if he doesn't need the money. To win a title at age 50? Ok. Maybe. But I see no real difference between that and holding two titles at age 49. While I'd favor Hopkins against Stevenson, that is also a risky fight. Why take it if you don't need the money? Retire and enjoy yourself.

I think Bernard Hopkins would strongly disagree with your assertion that "Kovalev was slow, predictable, and boring." I was ringside for that fight and I also disagree. In fact, with the exception of the Roy Jones Jr. first fight, I've never seen a fighter look that good against Bernard. That is saying something.

The reason BHop fought without hugging was that Kovalev never gave him the chance to do it. The biggest danger to Krusher wasn't from BHops fists, but from being cut up by his head and elbows on the inside.

JDJ said before the fight that they had a strategy to keep it clean, and we saw what that was. Sergey kept BHop at long range the whole 12 rounds and concentrated on piling up the points, and it worked a treat.
