Here's a list at some of the top SMW's in Froch's era....

    Kessler
    Bika
    Abraham
    Taylor
    Pascal
    Bute
    Dirrell

Dirrell is a good boxer, but he hadn't accomplished anything in the sport when he fought Froch (just like when people say that about GGG/Kovalev)

Pascal is a solid fighter. Bute is skilled but has a glass chin. (just look how Froch attacked him like a wild madman swinging for the fences)

So you have Kessler (OVERRATED) Abraham, the corpse of Jermain Taylor, and Sakio Bika. Taylor is irrelevant... and Froch struggled with him.

Kessler is in the same boat as Froch, not quite the plodder but overrated as hell due to his weak era. Abraham- slow plodder with no skills. Bika- slow plodder with no skills (I know Bika didn't fight Froch)

And then you have Froch going life an death with the living corpse of Glen Johnson.... Come on.

Froch has no skills. He's a tough guy. That's it. You can't tell me what he does well.......

You and everyone else know its true.

Carl Froch = Tough guy with tough guy attributes. ALL of his "skills" are physical attributes (Ring IQ, Stamina, Chin, Reach) he simply isn't a skilled fighter.

Just tell me why that isn't true if you don't think it is. Please
I don't think anyone has ever claimed Carl Froch to be the most skilled fighter in the world. That doesn't take away from what he's achieved.

He won a medal at the World Championships as an amateur. He can box. He just wasn't born with great speed or athleticism. He has an excellent jab - used it to completely neutralise Kessler for most of their rematch, boxed Abraham's head off. He has trouble with faster fighters clearly but that doesn't mean he can't box. Often he doesn't have to use his boxing skills.

He is far from Brandon Rios. If he was, he wouldn't have made it this far.

Your opinion is pretty worthless anyway judging by some of your previous comments.

I know I'm just saying it wasn't a good division. The 2008-2014 SMW division ****** and was filled with plodding, non-skilled tough guys. The only reason these guys got rated is because they all fought each other and that made them "top fighters"

But no one can list their skills cause they had very little

I know he's been at the top of it. I'm not dis*****g that

You just used an example of him boxing against two overrated fighters......

Abraham is a plodding-non skilled fighter just like Froch. And Kessler is simply overrated. Euro-level fighter who got lucky being in a bad era.

He's not Brandon Rios. He's more like Ruslan Provodnikov with more stamina and less power.

Yes he's achieved a lot, but only because the division he fought in was terrible and everyone was overrated... only rated highly because they "fought each other."

I don't think Kessler was plodding, non-skilled. Or Ward. Or Dirrell. The list goes on. Froch is an elite fighter -- and that's what they do; rise to the top of divisions.

No, Kessler wasn't one of the plodders. But he was verryy overrated, IMO. Bad era, like I said

Ward isn't and that's why he embarrassed Froch. Dirrell isn't but he hasn't accomplished anything in the sport. People hate using the eyetest here (Dirk) but when Dirrell fought Froch.... all you could go by was the "eyetest." So I don't wanna hear any hypocrisy about that from Dirk

All props to Carl - he'll leave a gaping hole in the division because for so long he's been THE guy to beat, and taken on all comers.

I really would have loved to see him fight GGG, but it looks like the money just wasn't there for it. Just one more year perhaps and GGG mighta been big enough...

If he can get his money fight with Jr then great... if it doesn't happen then he can retire knowing he's earned the respect of almost everyone in the sport and spend the rest of his life enjoying his millions and balling Rachel (might wanna invest in some ear-plugs though).

Props to a real Warrior - Do it your way, Champ.

Just because Froch is a tough bastard that doesn't mean he's got no skills. It's impossible to achieve what he has achieved in the sport with no skills.

Just ask the Olympians and star amateurs up and down the country who apparently are the most skillfull young boxers in the country who get to witness him training and sparring if he has no skills.

Froch does lack skill and ability and has many flaws but at the end of the day it doesn't matter because look who he's beaten.

When you say overrated what do you mean. Explain how Kessler was overrated.
