it will be a shame if he doesn't fight chavez/GGG fight but he's paid his dues so if he retires fair enough. He's earned it.

          ... Well said Dan...

Froch is my favorite British fighter. I also like his honest and straightforward manner though which he always managed to express himself in public... He would make a great boxing commentator, I trust.

(Don't forget: Froch is old... he was ready to retire back in 2012... After the Bute fight he said he would go on as long as he feels his legs are still there for him...)

Pfft, nevermind LHW; Carl could go up two divisions and fight Roy Jones at cruiser, it would be as good as Calzaghe's win...

Carl's resume and legacy surpassed Calzaghe's a long, long time ago.

I hope that he gets one more big fight. He is one of the few boxers that have consistently faced top competition

Get Carl his retirement fund against Chavez Jr. and let him walk away from the ring after.

One of the most overrated fighters of all time. No joke.

A true caveman with absolutely no skills besides great stamina and a good chin (even though he hardly faced any big punchers. Groves. Lol) Literally no other skills.... he's slow as hell, he's a plodder, has average power at best. The man fights like a drunken sailor at a bar fight on port in the Ba***** in the 1700s.

Dude just simply isn't skilled whatsoever. Perfect example of a tough guy with only tough guy attributes (chin, stamina) that made his career by fighting other slow plodders in a weak and terrible division (sure, they were the top the division had to offer.... but they all ******. I.E Daniel Geale being a top MW when GGG fought him but just being an average fighter)

I like Froch, he's a tough guy.... but no one wants to admit he's simply not very good.

I think you underrate his subtle offensive skills, his reach, his ring IQ -- just because he isn't terribly athletic.

Watching Froch is a firm reminder to me that those who criticize the Jack Dempseys of yester-year (a far, far greater fighter than Froch) as being unskilled brawlers and think they wouldn't compete in this era need to think again.
