He might not be blessed with skills but he has heart, endurance, stamina, punching power and is a game fighter. Some of those things you can't teach and has made him such a successful fighter. One of the most overrated fighters of all time. No joke.
A true caveman with absolutely no skills besides great stamina and a good chin (even though he hardly faced any big punchers. Groves. Lol) Literally no other skills.... he's slow as hell, he's a plodder, has average power at best. The man fights like a drunken sailor at a bar fight on port in the Ba***** in the 1700s.
Dude just simply isn't skilled whatsoever. Perfect example of a tough guy with only tough guy attributes (chin, stamina) that made his career by fighting other slow plodders in a weak and terrible division (sure, they were the top the division had to offer.... but they all ******. I.E Daniel Geale being a top MW when GGG fought him but just being an average fighter)
I like Froch, he's a tough guy.... but no one wants to admit he's simply not very good.Comment

go back and watch his fight with Pascal, then watch what he did to AA, even watch how he fared against an athletic boxer in Dirrell, some say he lost. Watch his 2 fights each with Kessler and Groves too. Some of the most entertaining bouts you'll ever see.
Now on the topic of Froch, I don't like how he's talking, if he thinks too much about retirement, the money he's made and the Vegas night, whoever his next opponent is, will have a great chance. From the way Carl looks in recent vids and pics, he's already put on some unwanted weight, which is what I've never seen him do...ever! The guy needs to stay focused.Comment

Also the Jermain Taylor fight is a must see for anyone wanting to find out what kind of fighter Froch is.
Chin - Hit with bombs, went down but got right back up.
Stamina - never stopped from round 1 - 12 trying to win.
Power - Obvious.
Heart - Came back from what was looking like a beatdown to getting a ko.
Calmness - Never panicked. Not once. Even at the end with 20 seconds to go, other fighters would surely have got over excited.
Mentality - Went away from home to fight a guy who was considered a huge risk, in his first title defence. No milking the title. Didnt just sit back and complain that he wasnt getting the paydays he deserved, he went out there and demanded respect.
"I'm coming back to England, Ma. And I'm bringing my title!"
