If Cotto beats Canelo, he'll retire. Between 2009-present, Cotto has netted millions upon millions of dollars. With Pac, Marg 2, Mayweather, Martinez and all the lesser paychecks in between, Cotto probably grossed close to $60million dollars. With Floyd and Pac combined, Cotto made $30mill easily, probably around 35mill. With the Marg 2, Martinez, Mayorga ppvs he probably financially ****d all 3 of those fighters, I could see him grossing around another $30mill for those fights + Foreman, Trout, Delvin. With Canelo he'll gross another $15mill.

In other words, if a GGG fight can't get him $10-15mill then he'll retire or fight Chavez Jr if he comes down at a cw, maybe Cotto let's him come in at 164-165lbs while coming in light. For the paycheck, he'll do it. If Cotto wins, it's either retirement or Chavez Jr.

Cotto looked great against a washed up, injury prone, 40 year old. Period! He looked like crap against Trout at his best. Other than Sergio, Cotto is very careful not to get aligned with ANYONE before he lands a huge payday with Canelo. That's why he chose not to fight ANYONE in December or next Spring. Canelo will blow out Cotto; just too young, too big, too strong for Cotto. Cotto fans are the same as those Sergio fans in denial, betting with their heart, Sergio was too big, and too good of a Boxer to have troubles with Cotto. Cotto fans are in denial as well if you think for a second he has ANY chance against Canelo OR GGG. Cotto is promoting his last showing as his best marketing tool, to ink a payday with Canelo. Stop talking out your azz about "all these better paydays for Cotto than fighting GGG". LOL!!! That storyline gets old, when the reality is, Cotto wants no part of GGG, not near big enough or strong enough to withstand a round or two with GGG, which would get Cotto destroyed early. If you believe otherwise, then start insisting your good boy Cotto fighting Gennady.

Ward doesn't want to fight anyone. GGG will fight Ward in a heartbeat at any weight. He's said he'll fight anyone, Floyd, Cotto, Canelo, Quillin, Chavez, Ward... None of those guys want to fight Gennady, period. GGG can't be more clear, on a global stage he's said he'll keep fighting 3-4x a year, and he wants the best. None of those guys will come out and say they are interested in fighting Gennady, hence GGG lines up Murray to remain active. What else do you want?!!!? Now clowns are saying GGG (160) can't beat Kovalev (175!!!!), you just as well bag on GGG for not fighting Klitschko!!! What about Ward or Stevenson at '68, not fighting Kovalev????? Of ALL these guys named, Gennady is the only guy man enough to fight the best! None will fight him.
