    Not at all actually.

    Trinidad was an exceptional win.

The others were good wins aswell other than Oscar.

But the fact is they were undersized and obviously the smaller men, some by quite a margin so perhaps he knows how they felt now.

Nothing to do with discrediting the wins.

He's "strong" at the weight, that's why Duva and JDJ says no catchweights for Ward.
I know she said that he won't fight at catchweight, that's a wise managerial move. Too bad she wasn't Dawson's promoter, then he wouldn't have made the mistake of going down to 168.

But Kovalev never missed weight by 2 pounds, ever.

He weighed in below 175 for Agnew on the first try, and he weighed in at exactly 174 for Caparello on the first try.

Sergey is very professional, he's ex-military and so has self-discipline. He's not the type who would miss weight.

Fighters can lose 3-4lbs in an hour in the sauna, since cameras weren't allowed to follow I'd venture that's where they headed, either that or a treadmill. You're right that he hasn't missed weight but this isn't someone who is making weight easily either.

Kov was clearly the bigger man, his arms are long, wide shoulders

Hopkins has a longer reach than Sergey. 75 vs 72 inches.

However Hopkins has never used his reach, his style revolves around getting inside with his head down low (hence his reputation for headbutts) and doing dirty work. Kovalev fought tall and stepped back and threw jabs and crosses when Bernard tried to close the distance.

I know that sort of thing is a little high brow for BS where "he win, he must big" is more the norm.

Official Height: Kovalev: 6'0" Hopkins 6'1"
Official Reach: Kovalev 72" Hopkins 75"
Unofficial Weights (fight night): Kovalev 188# Hopkins 182#

I think Hopkins, like many boxers, lies about his height and is more like 5'11"-6'0".

Other than that they are about the same size, Hopkin's arms slightly longer. Hopkins always looks tiny in the ring because he has a narrow fetal boxing stance. Hopkins has that upright Russian style and typical northern/eastern Euro physique (very broad shoulders).

If you think 6 lbs lighter, a slightly longer reach and about the same height is the reason he lost the fight then you as they say "DKSAB".

NOTE: Hopkins never said Kovalev was bigger, he said he felt small because Kovalev kept moving out of range. This is addressed to the BS posters who are putting words in his mouth and pretending Kovalev is coming in at 210.

So after sergey beats Adonis where is he supposed to go ? All you'll talking about he should stay at light heavyweight, and do what ? Fight who ? But when ward, even punk ass broner, floyd, clean up their divisions you'll say they should move up, move down, fight klitschko all this bs.

There are a lot of promising LHWs coming out of the amateurs but nearly all are European so I don't know how many big money US-venue fights would be in the cards, where we prefer to watch mediocre trashtalking local boys fight over true world class talent.

On the other hand I doubt he's anxious to move up to cruiserweight, which is a large weight jump to face even lesser known competition and has in recent years seemed like a feeder division for small heavyweights.

According to Kathy Duva he can't make 168 and I believe her. While he isn't very tall or heavy for 175, he his big boned and there isn't much fat or muscle to shed.

Beterbiev, Alvarez, Mekhontsev...Adonis is not the end-game at LHW.
